Born and raised in the Central African Republic, Boddhi’s first introduction to music production happened in 1994. Back then, Boddhi was writing, singing and rapping in a Hip-Hop group (Gbekpa Crew) that he and a couple of friends created.

Willing to pursue his studies, Boddhi moved to Belgium in 2000, where he ended up embracing his first love, MUSIC. He then began to develop his production talents and was slowly seduced by the sounds of Deep House, and most notably the music of producers like: Kevin Yost , Alton Miller, St Germain, Osunlade, Masters At Work to name but a few.

“It was like a revelation to me, from then on I decided to play and produce this Music”.

A meeting with Alton Miller in 2005 resulted in the birth to two EP’s: “Prelude To A Motion EP” and “See The Day.” Both collaborations were released on the trail-blazing Paris-based ATAL Music. In 2006, Boddhi realized that the sound of Osunlade is one of the inspirations that helped him craft his now respected Ancestral Soul, a touch that was introduced to the world on Yoruba Records with the “Satva Varti EP.” In 2007 ATAL released “Moina Ya Mokili” Boddhi Satva’s third release on the label done this time in collaboration with Abel Tabu.

Boddhi, known to be a hard worker and has been labelled “The machine” by his peers. 2008 has been a prolific year for Boddhi Satva who has just created his own label “Offering Recordings” and also deliver a lot of remixes and original productions on labels like:
Bubble Soul, Seasons Limited, Seed Recordings, Ocha Records, Vega Records, Yoruba Records, Abicah Soul Records, Franck Roger Digital, Deeper Shades Of House, CityDeep Music and UGH.

Now signed by world-renowned and Grammy Award winner Louie Vega (Vega Records) and Yoruba boss Osunlade (Yoruba Records), Boddhi has confirmed he could keep up his creativity by constantly recreating his musical aptitudes. He will shortly be releasing a full-length album showcasing his ever evolving talents. His now well-known “Ancestral Soul” mixes and productions will propel the profile of Boddhi Satva skyward.

Once in a while a really special event comes along, one where you are given the opportunity to see something new & rare for the first time and receive a little 'education' in music, the type of event which changes your outlook on music and creates memories which last a lifetime..... this just happens to be one of those events.....

On May 15th we're going to take you on a journey to a relatively unknown club in Tokyo to give you a blank canvas in which to experience a relatively unknown artist (at least in Japan), but one who is BLOWING UP in the American and European House scene, thanks not entirely to his heavy weight mentors LITTLE LOUIE VEGA & OSUNLADE, who have both recognized the talent in this young artist and who have both taken him under their wings and signed him to their highly selective and respected record labels..... ladies & gentlemen, 'dB UKi' & '4 the love' present - BODDHI SATVA!.....

■ BODDHI SATVA (ボーディ・サットヴァ) -
中央アフリカで生まれ。その特徴的な名前はサンスクリット語の「悟りを得た存在（菩薩）」に由来する。当初はHip Hopグループのメンバーとして活動を開始、2000年にベルギーに移ってからはDeep Houseに傾倒し、MAWやOsunladeらの楽曲に大きな影響を受ける。

2005年にAlton Millerとの出会いを経てATAL Music (FR)より”Prelude To A Motion”、”See The Day”の2枚のEPをリリース、2006年にはOsunladeの一連の作品が内包する太古より受け継がれたソウルに共感し、Yorubaより”Satva Varti EP”をリリース。2007年にはAbel Tabuとのコラボレーションによる”Moina Ya Mokili”をリリース。

A rising star in Tokyo, with over 17years experience behind the decks of London UK’s House scene and around the world. His experience and talent have seen him spin and hold residencies at such legendary nights as Soul Heaven, Garage City and Housexy and take to the decks of the capitals top venues, including; Ministry of Sound, Pacha and Bar Rumba. These nights regularly put his sets along side respected DJs such as Kenny Carpenter (Studio 54), DJ Disciple (Catch 22), Norman Jay (BBC / MBE), Aaron Ross (BBC Radio1 Xtra / Defected / Fanatix) to name but a few.

Having been based in Tokyo since 2006, Aron has gained himself a respectable following amongst the city’s ‘heads’ from both the local and foreign community. Off the back of his own event creations, high profile DJ bookings and some very respectable residencies, his has become a household name in this thriving metropolis. 2007 saw the creation of Aron’s own event management company ‘UKi Events’ (which merged into ‘dB UKi Events’ in 2008) and his first Tokyo event ‘SOUL’, which drew on the true spirit of the London House scene. The DJ bookings soon flooded in after that, seeing him headline and hold residencies at such respected events as ‘CSH4’ @ super club ‘Womb’ and ‘SOLID’.

2008 was welcomed with co-organisational/promotional responsibilities and a residency for the world renowned ‘Defected in the House’ series @ super club ‘Air’, which put his sets along side such stars as ‘Dimitri from Paris’, ‘DJ Gregory’, ‘Sandy Rivera’, ‘Simon Dunmore’, ‘Charles Webster’, ‘The Shapeshifters’, ‘ATFC’, ‘Copyright’, ‘Yass’ & ‘Hardsoul’ and even gained him a place along side a plethora of these artists for the ‘Defected in the House 10th Anniversary’ at Tokyo mega-club ‘Ageha’. In parallel with this project, Aron re-launched the legendary ‘Junior Boys Own’ record label (now owned by Defected) in Tokyo with an event series featuring its owner and founder ‘Terry Farley’.

In a very segregated industry with foreign events on the one side and Japanese events on the other, Aron has been one of the very few foreign DJs able to charm his way into the Japanese community and remain, allowing him to enjoy both sides of the industry and perform to some very different audiences. Entering 2009, Aron’s diary filled up even further with regular bookings for Japanese run events ‘King Street Sounds’, ‘Cyber Japan’, ‘Hed Kandi’ & ‘Pacha’ having him play along side artists such as ‘Quentin Harris’, ‘MR.V’, ‘Danny Krivit’, ‘Sarah Main’ & ‘Chuckie’ and begin a series of appearances at super clubs ‘Warehouse’ & ‘eleven’ (formerly ‘Yellow’). Aron also started a series of monthly events at Tokyo’s ‘UNIT’, stepping away from his purest House routes and exploring all walks of dance music, with artists such as ‘Oliver Ho’ & ‘Ashley Beedle’.

In 2010 Aron took it upon himself to break new upcoming international talent in Tokyo, to educate and expose to the scene what had not yet fallen on Japanese ears, with artists such as Boddhi Satva (Vega Records / Yoruba Records / Offering Recordings). Aron was also an integral part of ‘AUDIO’, the first foreign organised 5000person+ 17hour electronic music festival to be held in central Tokyo!

Moving into 2011, Aron has been a mainstay of the Japanese clubbing scene and instrumental in nurturing it through difficult times. The opening of new super club ‘Sound Museum Vision’, saw Aron play a major part in events including the mighty ‘Basement Jaxx’ and the legendary ‘Louie Vega’!

As well as regular international bookings back at home in London, around Asia, Europe, Australia and even South Africa, this man knows how to light up a dance-floor!

Starting his DJ career in 2002 in Australia, cutting his teeth in a number of venues in Sydney and Wollongong, BBC decided to move to Japan in 2007. When he was finally exposed to real dance music, real clubs, real crowds and real DJ's in Tokyo, his life was transformed as he pursued to dig even deeper into dance music and the Tokyo scene. With a passion for the 'roots' of dance music, you can see him play anything from Stevie Wonder to Sister Sledge, The Rolling Stones to Robert Owens, Dennis Ferrer to Donny Hathaway.

BBC has played in all of Tokyo's major venues, including to a crowd of over 2500 people at WOMB, ageHa for Defected's 10th Birthday, UNIT, Warehouse, La Fabrique, WEDGE and a swag a handful of support sets for huge internationals at the Defected parties at AIR. He has played alongside his biggest influences Toshiyuki Goto and Dimitri From Paris as well DJ Gregory, Jamie 3:26, Ashley Beedle, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Disco Bloodbath and Charles Webster just to name a few. Despite many guest appearances at many great clubs and events, his favourite party is his own ‘4 the love’ where he is his most creative, playing long sets ranging a wide variety of genres and tempos to a crazy, energy fueled crowd. And with a recent foray into production, keep an ear out for a range of raw and soulful jams very soon.
