ベルギーの港町アントワープにて生まれ育ったDaniel.fxは、
幼い頃から船乗りの父の背中を見て育ち、
「俺も親父の様な海の男になるんだ！」と胸に誓っていたが、
たまたま遊びに行ったダンスパーティーにて衝撃を受け、
「これだっ！！！」とばかりに、あっさりとDJ修業の為にベルリンへと向う。
船乗り修行時代に培われた強靭な下半身が持ち味のDanielのDJセットは、
腰に響く重低音を自在に操り、時には荒波の如く激しく、時には全てを包み込む様な穏やかな表情を見せ、まさに海そのものと言っても過言ではない！
そんな噂がテクノ大国ドイツで口コミの評判となるのは時間の問題ではなく、
一躍ベルリンのディープアンダーグラウンドの帝王にまで登り詰めたのだ。
そして、盟友Reynoldが主宰するTrenton Recordsの運営にも携わる様になり、
Todd BodineやYapacc、Johnny Wagnerなどのアングラアーティストとの共作でリリースを重ね、そのどれもがLoco
Dice, Ricardo Villalobos, Richie Hawtinと言ったスーパースターDJ達のプレイリストに上がり、
DJのみならずクリエイティブ面でもその才能をいかんなく発揮している。
今でこそ彼は言う...
「親父の修行に比べたら、２時間のDJなんて屁でもねぇぜ！！」と。
ベルリンのディープアンダーグラウンド丸の船長Daniel.fx、初来航！！！
Raised in Antwerp and musically influenced and programmed by the
Belgian club sounds since the
early beginnings in 1993. His first gig was on 30.04.2000 at a
parallel party to the Mayday next to the
Westfalenhalle in Dortmund. The decks where his from 12 till 2 pm.
The next day he moved to Berlin where he started his DJ career. After
several evenings in trendy bars
he got the first regular club engagement at 'Pfefferberg-Haus 13'.
From 2002 on he had several bookings in the capitals clubs. Together
with the DJ's Daniel Dreier, Boris
and Ahmet Coskun he founded the 'Berliner Stadtmusikanten' in 2003, a
musical platform for
electronic artists. They established popular partys such as the well
known 'Annabar' and the 'Casino
Club Berlin'.
Starting in 2004 daniel.fx founded a 'vs' party concept, which allows
international DJ's and artists to
get together and celebrate their music in different cities and
countries. He had collaborations with
Antwerp (Lowlands, USA Import,) and Graz (houseverbot). The 'Berliner
Stadtmusikanten' presented
their sounds and they invited the artists from Antwerp and Graz to Berlin.
His first release together with Johnny Wagner is on a various artists
(Trenton 015), release date was
mid of October 2006. In March 2008 a next bomb release together with
Todd Bodine was out on
Highgrade Records (048). End of 2008 there was a rmx for Reynold on
Trenton. February 2009 an EP
on Regular (Barcelona based) is coming, and a rmx is in the pipeline
for a young upcoming label from
Frankfurt. This is dates for March 2009. More will follow!
