2007年夏、東京を舞台に結成されたGimme Um.は、心に響くシングアロングなメロディーラインにハードロックなリフとエレクトロニックなベースラインをブレンドしたスタイルが特徴で、メンバー4人がそれぞれに異なる大陸出身者であることから、独特なミュージックスタイルと特異な世界観を持ち合わせた融合体を成している。
ジャズとクラシックスタイルをバックグラウンドにもつロサンゼルス出身のRyan Mclaughlin（ライアン・マクロクリン / ボーカル兼ギタリスト）は、16歳までにHollywood Bowl、Monterey Jazz Festivalのメインステージ、Dorothy Chandler Pavilionといったカリフォルニアのビッグステージでパフォーマンスをこなす神童であった。やがて、その際立ったロックなルックスがある時日本のトップスタイリストの目にとまり、以後東京を拠点に多くのファッションブランドを魅了している。
7歳の時にキーボードを始めたというPierre Klein（ピエール・クライン）はフランス、トゥールーズの出身。大学進学を機に東京にやってきたPierreもまた、ファッション雑誌やランウェイをこなす人気モデルとして頭角を現し、奇しくもRyanとの出会いはファッションショーのバックステージだった。
同じく東京のファッションシーンで人気モデルとして活躍するその一人、Gui Martinez（ギィ・マルティネズ）は、東京移住後すぐに、地元サンパウロのアンダーグラウンドパンクシーンで磨きをかけた驚異的なドラムスキルが話題となり、今はなきバンド“VIVIANS”から勧誘を受けたほど。Guiの幅広い音楽のテイストは、東京の最もエッジーなクラブDJとしてのキャリアにも活かされている。
ベーシストから転身したギタリストTim Sullivan（ティム・サリバン）は、メルボルンを拠点に活動していたエレクトロパンクバンドDamn Armsのフォーマーメンバーでもあり、オーストラリア最大のイベントに出演し、KlaxonsやCut Copy、Midnight Juggernautsとともにワールドツアーも敢行した経験の持ち主。2010年には、Cut Copyのブティック・レーベル“Cutters Records”からソロデビューが予定されている。

Formed in Tokyo in the summer of 2007, Gimme Um creates a blend of catchy sing-along melodies, hard rock riffs and electronic bass lines. Each of the four members of Gimme Um hails from a different continent, making Gimme Um not only a fusion of distinctive musical styles, but also of very different worldviews.
From Los Angeles, Ryan Mclaughlin plays guitar and sings. Trained in both jazz and classical styles, by the age of 16 he had already played some the biggest stages in California, including the Hollywood Bowl, the Main Stage at the Monterey Jazz Festival and the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. After being scouted by one of Japan’s top stylists while walking the streets of Hollywood, Ryan was brought to Tokyo where he found himself being tapped by some of Japan's biggest fashion brands for his distinctive rock look.
Pierre Klein hails from Toulouse, France. He has been playing keyboards since the age of 7. He originally came to Tokyo to attend university, but soon began to model for magazine editorials and major runway shows. It was backstage at one of these shows that he met Ryan, and thus the seeds of Gimme Um were sown.
Although he is now a popular model on the fashion scene of Tokyo, Gui Martinez prefers to be recognized for his astounding drumming skills, honed during countless shows played on the underground punk scene of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Upon his arrival in Tokyo he was recruited to play for the now-defunct group the Vivians. Thanks to his diverse musical tastes, Gui is also in demand as a DJ at some of Tokyo’s edgiest club events.
Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, bassist turned guitar player Tim Sullivan is a former member of the now-defunct band Damn Arms. He has played the biggest festivals in Australia and toured the world alongside top acts such as Klaxons, Cut Copy and Midnight Juggernauts. His highly anticipated solo debut is due to come out on Cut Copy's boutique label Cutters Records in 2010.
