メキシコ出身。Marcos A.Sanchezによるプロジェクト。彼は15歳でギターを始めメタルバンドのギタリストとしてアーティストのキャリアをスタートさせる。その後ラテンアメリカにおける名門校の1つである音楽学校で音楽理論を音楽学院では音響工学について勉強し、2002年Hansolo(Jose M.) Ergot(Raxo,Amadetzana 元メンバー)TNT/Total Sicknessと共にLAMATとしてPSYTRANCEのプロデュースを開始。数年間でメキシコの素晴らしい輸出製品の1つとして発展し、激しくきらびやかなメロディーと力強いベースライン、質が良い透明感の高い音を生み出していった。
2005年、AP Recordsより発売したデビューアルバム"Master Control"は世界のFull On Loversの間で瞬く間にヒットし大成功を収める。2004年、長年の友人でありパートナーであるStalker(Christian Vogel)と共にF.F.T(Future Frequency Technology)としてアルバム"Future Greguency Technology"をリリース。2007年LAMAT名義で"Fearless"、コンピレーションアルバム"Psycho Navigation System"をT.P.E. Recordsよりリリースしている。2010年にはDacru RecordsよりF.F.T名義での3rdアルバム"Unity of Science"をリリース。

Lamat is Marcos A. Sanchez, born in 1978 and living in Morelia, the capital of the state of Michoac?n in Mexico. The earliest manifestation of his interest in music was at the age of 15 when he started music and guitar lessons. His career as an artist took of as a guitarist in various metal and rock bands, where Marcos was praised for composing his own music. He furthered his knowledge by studying music theory and learning to play different instruments in one of the most prestigious schools in Latin America: Conservatorio de las Rosas in Morelia.
Some time after succesfully terminating his classical studies he was introduced to electronic music, more specifically psytrance. He moved to Mexico City to study at the famous G. Martell institute where he was educated in audio engineering, administration in music business, electric guitar and music production software. After this Marcos thought the time had come to start his alter ego Lamat. The live project that over the years developed as one of Mexico's finest export products.
Lamat's first full album 'Master Control', released at AP records in 2005, was an instant hit with full on lovers around the world. His sound is a dynamic blend of colorful melodies and pumping basslines. With over 5 years of producing under his belt numerous releases have been made. Tracks have appeared in compilations around the world, the compilation Psycho Navigation Systems was compiled by Lamat for AP records and the full album counter is already up to three with 'Fearless' being released early 2007 and 'Under Pressure' at the end of 2008.
Of course not only the many releases mark his career. Over the years Lamat has performed globally at different events from cosy clubs to major outdoor festivals. He plays regularly in Japan for TPE records, also appearing on their annual dvd. Other countries and events where he played include Germany (Full Moon festival), Morocco (Rhytms of Peace festival), Switzerland (Belaluna festival), Russia (Freedom Power festival), The Netherlands, Portugal, Chile (Monte Mapu festival), USA (Gemini festival), UK, Austria, Belgium, Argentina, Italy, Spain, France, Mexico, ...
Early 2009 Lamat signed with Belgian label Dacru records, a great haven for his untameable creativity. A logical choice considering the affinity with dacru's melodical reputation. The future looks bright!
