ダンスミュージック・シーンで世界的な活動を展開してきたNobuhiko 'Ebizo' TanumaとKuniyuki Takahashiの2人が、次なるステップとして始動させたインプロビゼーションのバンド・プロジェクト。プレイヤーとしての側面も持ち合わせる彼等が、自分達のサウンドのルーツである"ジャズ"からの影響を、ディスコやハウスなどのダンスミュージックをはじめとする様々なスタイルの音楽に昇華していく。1stアルバムでは、ダンスミュージックの域には留まらない多彩な音楽性を発揮する、Ian O'brienをギターに、日本のクラブジャズ・シーンのパイオニア、SOIL & "PIMP" SESIONSのみどりんをドラムスに迎え、4人の卓越したミュージシャンシップを基に、インプロビゼーションでダンスミュージックのダイナミズムと豊かな叙情性を紡ぎ出している。そのサウンドは、リスナーを陶酔へと誘い、様々な心象風景を鮮明に浮かび上がらせる。

"Waves" is a band project of the improvisation that is Nobuhiko 'Ebizo' Tanuma(a.k.a Code e) and Kuniyuki Takahashi(a.k.a. Koss) that had developed a worldwide activity by the dance music scene. As part of their new music activities,they are getting started "Waves". They are musician who plays improvised music. And,playing dance music such as disco,house,techno and the music of various styles that based on "Jazz" of their roots music. Guiter is Ian O'Brien ,he have great musicianship. Drummer is Midorin of "SOIL& "PIMP" SESSION" who is the pioneering jazz band of Japan. They released their first album "Encounter"on May 12,2010.
