1996年結成。1998年シングル「東京」でメジャーデビュー。ロックシーンで独特な浮遊感を発揮し、その音楽性はアルバム毎に多様な色彩を帯びつつも、いずれの作品も高い人気を誇っている。6月29日には映画「奇跡」の主題歌「奇跡」を含むベスト盤「Tower of Music Lover2」をリリース。また、今年9月には地元、京都で自らが主催する野外音楽イベント「京都音楽博覧会」が5周年を迎える。

After meeting at "Rock Commune," Ritsumeikan University's music club, Shigeru Kishida, Masashi Sat?, and Nobuyuki Mori formed the original three-piece band. The name "Quruli," an onomatopoeic word expressing rotation, was taken from a sign in the Kyoto Municipal Subway. In October 1998 Quruli released the single "Tokyo" on Victor Entertainment. They released their first major label album, Sayonara Stranger in 1999.
