Cosmo Bakerは世界屈指のパーティーDJの一人という事で広く尊敬を集めている。ヒップホップからディスコ、ファンク、エレクトロまで全ての音楽の知識を持ったミュージックマスターであり、その音楽的知識と高度なDJスキルに、ファンキーなスパイスを加味し混ぜ合わせたのが彼のスタイルである。彼の音楽知識と常識を凌ぐスキルは、フロアを湧かせる事だけにあると言っても過言ではない。彼は、過去の伝説的なDJ達のようなスキルと、現在のスーパースターDJ達のようなスキルを持ち合わせた、レアな品種のDJである。
このフィラデルフィア・ネイティブは、10代の頃にはナイトクラブでそのキャリアをスタートさせ、?uestloveやRich Medinaといった同年代と並んで切磋琢磨し、21世紀に入る前までには、世界有数のDJまでに成長していった。ヒップホップがまだピュアであり、フィラデルフィアもヒップホップの中心であった90年代、Cosmoはヒップホップの指針となっていた。2000年代前半には、その名声に全く傷付ける事なくジャンルレスなスタイルを確立。まさにこの「何でもあり」スタイルは、DiploやLow Budgetといったアーティストに多大な影響を与えた。
この時期に活動拠点をブルックリンに移し、DJ・リミキサー集団、The Rubを設立した。

Cosmo Baker is widely considered as one of the top party-rocking DJs on the planet. A master of everything from hip-hop to disco & funk to electronic music, his unique style and spinning prowess is able to bring it all together in a cohesive, and funky manner. This Philadelphia native cut his chops alongside contemporaries such as ?uestlove and Rich Medina, and when he relocated to Brooklyn in the early ’00s he helped found the internationally known DJ / remix collective The Rub. His knowledge of music is only matched with his uncanny ability to move the crowd. Cosmo is a rare breed of DJ that bridges the gap between the legendary DJs of yesterday and the superstar DJs of today.
Cosmo Baker is truly a “DJs DJ” ? a tastemaker, a visionary, and most importantly a world-renowned party rocker. This East-Coaster truly embodies the very soul ? both musically and otherwise ? of his native Philadelphia. Cosmo conquered the Philadelphia nightlife scene before he was even old enough to get into clubs, and by the 21st century he had taken his DJ career to new heights, becoming one of the world’s most sought-after mixers. Coming up in the 90s when hip-hop was at it’s purist height, and Philly was one of the epicenters if it, Cosmo was a beacon of flavor and style. Flawlessly being able to shift between genres became his signature style, he pioneered an “everything but the kitchen sink” attitude to mixing that went on to influence a whole school of DJs in the early 2000, including Diplo and Low Budget of Hollertronix. And that philosophy not only applies to his genre-hopping, critically acclaimed mixes but to his live performances as well.
As a DJ, his performances are exactly that ? A LIVE PERFORMANCE. Cosmo brings an energy behind the decks that is unmatched, and is felt and reciprocated by his audiences.
