One day, LX-E got fed up with life's daily routine--riding a sweaty, stinky, packed commuter train to head in for a stressful day at work--and finally decided, "F*** having a REAL job, I'll be a DJ instead!"
Little did she know, that would mean living off of cup ramen for the next two years as she worked her way up the ranks of Tokyo's club circuit.
Finally in 2011, things all started to change. LX-E refined her sound to focus on progressive trance, tech trance, and progressive house, all while maintaining a taste for harder tech dance sounds as well. She landed a residency gig at EXTREMA, Tokyo's only monthly tech-dance event, and also DJs weekly at the brand-spankin'-new Shinjuku Axxcis. In addition to these regular gigs, she can frequently be seen DJing around various clubs in Aoyama, Shibuya, and Roppongi as well, often staying loyal to progressive house and trance but occassionally having an affair with dubstep and drum n bass.
Her track selection creates a unique juxtaposition of beautiful melodies and hard-hitting dance-floor slammers, and her energetic performance has so much booty shakin' that it's officially has been barred from public broadcast until after 9pm in 17 countries. Fortunately Japan isn't one of them.
