1980年松本市生まれ。東京上京とともに29歳にしてTechno DJとして活動を始める。DJ活動してから半年で日曜に行われるパーティ”SONNTAG”をオーガナイズする。
2011年より楽曲制作に活動の中心を変え、2011年7月に自信の楽曲”Electronic Beats for Old boy”が、ハンガリーのOverground DigitalのVA”PLATINUM SERIES”に収録される。リリースをきっかけにラジオにて未発表曲が放送されるなど、ヨーロッパで注目され始め、2010月10月にはスペインのJose Castilleroが主宰するTechnologika RecordsからファーストEP Tiger Uppercut EPをリリース。
2011年12月より自身主宰レーベルSONNTAG RECORDSを設立し、アンセム曲”der ist sonntag EP”をプロデュースし1st EPをリリース。
2012年はTechnolgika RecordsよりRiot AnacondaEP、オーストラリアを代表するdj hi-shockが主宰さるレーベルElektrax MusicのサブレーベルAchromatiqより VVZL EP、Graviton Hammer EPを立て続けにリリースしている。
今後も国内外の活動を広げつつある。
Born in 1980 in Matsumoto city, Japan, Yutaka Iwahara began djing after moving to Tokyo in 2010. Six months later, he launches a new Sunday-afternoon party “SONNTAG ” in Shibuya.
In addition to djing, he also begins producing. In July 2011, his first track, “Electronic Beats for Old boy,” is included on the compilation album “PLATINUM SERIES” from Overground Digital (Hungary.) This track not only places second in the label’s Beatport chart, but is also broadcast on the radio and gains a great deal of attention around Europe.
In October 2011 his first EP “Tiger Uppercut” is released through Jose CastiLLeRo`s Technologika Records (Spain.) This track is also well received and Austria’s Eletrax Record’s own hi-shock selects it for his dj chart.
In December 2011, he starts his own label SONNTAG RECORDS, and releases its debut album “der sonntag ist. ”
Currently, he balances working on new material for his upcoming releases with the duties of managing SONNTAG RECORDS.
