Canblaster ことセドリック・ステファンは桁外れの才能をもってシーンに突如現れ、現在最も注目される、フランス北部の町ドゥエー出身の弱冠23歳の逸材である。所属 するカルテットチーム、CLUB CHEVALのキーパーソンでもあるセドリックは子供の頃からURやベースメントジャックス、YMOの影響を存分に受け、ビンテージのシンセサイザーの収 集に没頭した。そうして養われたCanblasterのサウンドはデトロイトのフレイバー、UKのブロークンリズム、フレンチコードや、時には日本のエレクトロポップの奇想天外なメロディさえ彷彿させる。彼のトラックはすぐさま、 Diplo、Sinden、Brodinski、Teki Latexらによって手厚いサポートを受け、Boys Noise & Erol Alkan feat Jarvis Cocker(PULP)や、Crystal Fighter、Style Of Eye and Slagsm?lsklubben(Fool's Gold)のREMIX ワークで現在話題を呼んでいる。
