Alexis and Mederic are together BeatauCue, french electro duo from Caen signed on Kitsune.
Going back to 2009, from the Normandy countryside; the two bedroom producers decided to realize a remix for Major Lazer ? Pon de Floor from a radio rip. With the success of that one and the backing from Diplo himself, their future was sealed : BeatauCue was born. French raised DJs and producers they rapidly imposed themselves on the scene by releasing many energetic productions and remixes for the likes of Kylie Minogue (remix praised by Kylie herself), Boys Noize, Mika, Yelle, Two Door Cinema Club, Steve Aoki & Armand Van Helden (to name but them) on various record labels including the famous Ultra Records, Universal Music, Ministry Of Sound, EMI, Turbo recordings and Mad Decent.
Thanks to these numerous productions and remixes, they obtained great support by fellow artists such as 2ManyDJs, Skrillex, Crookers, Mstrkrft, Cassius, Erol Alkan, and A-Trak (and many more DJs friends).
With such an amazing start, they have been brought to play in some of the most prestigious places on the globe, from HARD Haunted Mansion - Los Angeles, Womb - Tokyo, Solidays - Paris, Razzmatazz - Barcelona, Mezzanine - San Francisco, Les Trans Musicales - Rennes, Pal?o - Switzerland, Inox Park - Paris, Fuse - Brussels, Les TransArdentes - Li?ge, to Social Club in Paris. Most of those shows were includes on various tours around the world, from an Asia one, to a North American one and through Australia.
They have also received a huge shout out from the medias: Dazed & Confused, Tsugi, Mixmag, DJ Mag, Trax, Canal Street, erolalkan.co.uk, djatrak.com, France Inter, BBC Radio 1, FG Radio, Rcrd Lbl and even URB and Beatportal, all have provided tremendous support to the duo. Famous French TV Show from Canal + “Le Grand Journal” even let them reimagine their anthem alongside Two Doors Cinema Club for the 2010-2011 season.
With all these releases and encouragement, their next step will be releasing a brand new single "Slow Down" coming out at the beginning of April featuring Kenzie May (singer for the latest UK dubstep and drum'n'bass producer Sub Focus single) and including remixes from the DJs side of the French pop star goddess Yelle but also The Japanese Popstars, Adrian Lux and Dwntwn. All nicely wrapped up in a single cover designed by the rising up in fame and talented McBess.
