peakA名義で活躍しているPaul Kearneyは様々のジャンルやフォルメで15年間以上、音楽家として活動しており、エレクトロニック音楽以外にも、クラシカル、ロック、ジャズなどのシーンでもドラマーやキーボーディストの経験を持つ。
ルーマニアのTransylvania Calling、バーニングマン、そしてRainbow SerpentやEarthcoreなどのオーストラリアの最大級フェスティバルで90年代からＰＬＡＹしている彼は近年、テクノ、ミニマル、エレクトロ、トランス、ダブの要素を統合して独自のエクレクティックなサウンドを創造している。
ディープなアナログのベースとヒップノティックかつ疾走感に溢れるパーカッションが特徴であるpeakAの音は今回始めて日本で披露される。
With over 15 years of experience in the music industry, Paul Kearney has produced music across a number of different fields including film, television and radio.
Performing internationally as a percussionist, drummer and keyboardist, his range of live music performance spans classical/contemporary orchestral, rock, dance, jazz, prok/kraut rock and experimental.
As a producer in the electronic music world, Paul released his first solo album 'Mainframe' in 2000 and the 12" single 'Faktory Direkt' on Nine09 label, followed by subsequent compilation releases on green Ant, Well Worn Records, Fabula Records and Sub Records (Psy Harmonics).
Paul has co-written material with Loopus in Fabula, Circuit Bent, SLS, S.E.T.H, Legohead and DJ Suseri, and performed produced and written with Melbourne art rock band 'The Night Terrors' and leading Didgeridoo player Andrew Langford.
Paul Has performed live at a host of clubs across Australia and major festivals including Rainbow Serpent, Cairns Winter Solstice, Outback Eclipse, Maitreya, Every Picture Tells A Story, and most recently at Transylvania Calling (Romania).
In 2011, a number of releases are in production under his new alter ego 'peakA' pushing boundaries and focussing on his own eclectic brand of Techno which combines minimal tech sounds with trance esthetics, with a touch of electro and dubstep thrown in.
