Tha Boogie Bandit currently resides in Tokyo, Japan. He is one half of the DJ duo Ctrl Freaks, and hosts a monthly podcast on iTunes with over 50,000 subscribers (www.ctrlfreaks.com). In addition to spinning electro and progressive house at venues throughout Kanto, he has hosted several events and has produced and remixed his own tracks, including the funk track, “FSS Freshness!” which became a hit within the breakdance world. His most recent event, CF Japan Tour 2011, featured DJs from Japan and Kenya with Ctrl Freaks as the main event. His time spent living in Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Seoul help bring an international flavor to his DJing. Combine that with over ten years of breakdancing and eight years on guitar and drums and you’ve got a DJ with an unsurpassable rhythmical sense, eclectic taste, and knowledge of contemporary music history.
