2012年現在、PSY TRANCEの聖地イスラエルにおいて最も注目を集めている成長株アーティスト【 Freedom Fighters 】。 結成当時のメンバーは2人だったが、現在はイスラエル出身の「Shahaf」一人となり、アーティストとして新たな展開を迎えている。
イスラエル出身という恵まれた環境をフルに活かした彼は、結成初期（2005年）の頃の楽曲から多くのアーティストや音楽プロデューサーの耳に留まり、信頼を獲得していった。 特にこの数年は世界中からのブッキングオファーが絶えず、数多のステージアクトをこなした。 様々な国の文化に触れ、多くの人種と交流を重ねた経験は、当然の如く自身の才能を開花させ、見事に若手アーティストからの脱皮に成功している。 そして活動開始から7年が経った今年、‘Astrix’や‘Infected Mushroom’も所属するトップレーベル「HOMmega Productions」と契約を交わし、世界中のシーン関係者から大きな期待が寄せられている。 1月後半には‘Skazi’や‘Illumination’とのコラボレーショントラックも収録されている「RIOT EP」をリリース。 現在BeatportのPsy-TranceランキングでもTOP10以内をキープしている。
FreedomFightersの楽曲スタイルはProgressiveとPsychedelicの双方の特徴を活かしたTRANCE MUSICを見出だしており、これまでに無い新たなスタイルに挑戦している。 時にはテクノやドラムンベースの要素も織り交ぜ、それらの効果はベテランのパーティーフリークからも称賛の声があがっている。 自身のオリジナルスタイルを確立し、オーディエンスの心を掴む事ができるアーティストはほんの一握り。 近い将来、トランスシーンのキーマンとなるFREEDOM FIGHTERSに期待がかかる。
Freedom Fighters has had quite a dramatic impact on the worldwide trance and electronic dance music scene over the last several years.
Originally from Israel, one of the worldwide hubs for psychedelic trance music, his early musical influences naturally led him through an evolution into an electronic music producer.
Shahaf began to produce electronic music in 2005. Since then, He has performed at the largest music festivals across America, Asia, Europe, and Australia.
The list of places, and the number of people he has touched with his music continues to grow every day.
Shahaf describes the Freedom Fighters' style as a new wave of progressive psytrance mixed with heavy techno and drum & bass influences.
Sure to grab any dancer with its inherent complexity and engineering polish.
In 2012, Freedom Fighters joined forces with HOMmega as his new homebase where he will unleash his EP's and eventually, the album.
