^DJ Alexander Sonoir

The duo “Alexander Sonoir” are one of the most colorful and dynamic DJ/production teams on the Nagoya scene. They began in Washington DC spinning deep house and trance, and were active there from `93 to 2007, organizing events and producing original tracks, and working with groups such as “Rock a Floor Crew”.
Notable achievements included organizing and performing at long-running events at venues such as “San Gosho” and “Grand Oriental 5 Star Hotel”, as well as having original productions performed by prominent DJs in the area.
In 2007 they moved to Japan, where they quickly became an integral part of the music scene in Nagoya, performing at venues such as the legendary underground bar “Lounge Creek”. And from 2007 to 2010 they organized and performed at the famous DJ/live music event “Fever”. Other notable achievements include performing at club JBs with prominent house music DJ “Rasmus Faber”.
In 2010 they formed the electro-pop group “Art of War”, and performed at the well-received event “B.I.O.” at club “Radix”. They have also performed at such clubs as “About”, “Plastic Factory”, “Vaio”, and at the Lea Lea parties with “Stereophonic”.
An extremely eclectic outfit whose sound ranges from house, breakbeat, DnB, Acid Jazz, and live band work, to their enchanting and captivating live shakuhachi downbeat electronic performances, “Alexander Sonoir” continue to push boundaries and bring a burst of much needed fresh air to the Nagoya music scene.
