1961年逗子生まれ。
1979年にPUNK BAND『FLESH』参加。
以後、東京ブラボー、タイニーパンクス、MAJOR FORCE等を経て、1991年にソロアルバム『フルーツ・オブ・ザ・リズム』をEPIC/SONYよりリリース。
プロデュース、参加プロジェクトは多岐、多数。
様々な人、音楽、土地、自然からの影響を独自のフィルターを通して引用及び編集し、音と言葉と文章で、時には愛を時には怒りをそして時には笑いをこめて表現する。
From a background in punk music, Kan Takagi ascended to fame as Japan’s foremost exponent of hip hop culture. With both of these educations informing his spirit, Takagi has developed truly unique musical style. Having been inspired by all of the people, culture and history he has studied and encountered over the years, he has developed into a sonic artist whose oeuvre defies description.
