1980年生まれ。DJ / プロデューサー。
1990年代中盤、高校生だった頃にHOUSE MUSICと出会い、以降ダンスミュージックを聞き漁り続けているとか。
2000年にDJキャリアをスタートし、FunkyでGroovyなHOUSE、TECHNO、ELECTROをクロスオーバーさせる。
【Shohei Matsumoto】氏との【Drumroller】名義ではリリースする作品が軒並みCISCOダンスチャートで1位を記録し、ソロである【e-kawa】名義『Disco Beat Remix』が同総合セールスチャートで初登場１位を記録。
2004年以降DJ活動を一時休止するが、その間も【asterisk*】【Universal Dezign】名義で数々のコンピレーションCDに楽曲提供する。
2008年、単身渡欧しオランダ?ドイツ?ベルギーの著名プロデューサー【Ian Van Dahl】、【Bart Claessen】、【Shaun Baker】らの元で生活をし、現地の音楽と文化を体感する。
その音を具現化するかのようにエレクトロを軸とした新コンセプト【Tokyo Heuristixx】名義にてオランダの新進レーベル【BEATPROVIDERS】から『Born To Be Wild』をリリース。
日本人アーティストとしては快挙のオランダダンスチャートで20位を記録し、【Tiesto】の在籍するオランダ大手ラジオ局Radio 538でもヘヴィプレイされるなど今後の動向に期待される存在である。

DJ e-kawa recognized due to his unique DJ style and producing skills operates from his home base in Tokyo Japan.
His Artist name e-kawa came into use at the age of 20 at the same time he started out as a professional DJ in 2000. e-kawa releases his debut single "Drumroller - Ultimate Seduction" co. Produced together with Shohei Matsumoto. Drumroller hit the number 1 position on the CISCO International Music Chart everytime they released. e-kawa's remix of "Shot - Disco Beat" is still classed as a club anthem in Japan to this date.
In Summer 2008 and e-kawa embarks on a fact finding expedition to Europe taking in meetings, studio visits with such big name DJ/Producers like Bart Claessen, Ian van Dahl and together with Shaun Baker DJ's gigs in Germany. Since 2009, he starts producing parties for more than 1,000 people at "Mado Lounge" 250 meters above sea level Roppongi Hills 52F.
