AYASHIGE
92年から活動を続けているWRENCH/SHIGEのソロ名義。
96年頃から自宅を手作りでスタジオに改装。オリジナルトラックの制作を始めると同時にDJとしても活動開始。
以来、ダンスチューンであり前衛的でもある実験的要素の高い作品を数々のレーベルから世に送り出し、、
今後の活動の転機となった作品「HIGH-ENERGY/PLASTIC TIME/EP」(MAD SKIPPERS）を'04にワールドワイド・リリース。
発売と同月に伊/ローマ、RADIO ONDA ROSSAのチャートで1位を獲得するなどヨーロッパ方面での評価を得る。
その後国内外のアーティストのREMIX Coolio/Prey Victory Grooveremix,LOUDNESS/CrazyNightremix,
NIRGILIS/Another crash mix, 等多数手掛けるようになり、ヨーロッパ方面でのツアーから、国内
野外フェス出演、国内ローカルクラブ、ライブハウス等、幅広く精力的な活動を展開している。http://www.ayashige.jp/

AYASHIGE wears at least two hats.
One as the front man & vocalist/synthesizer of the ever awesome rock band WRENCH,
which have mesmerized worldwide audiences since 92. Their unique blend of rock and techno,
dub and electro, industrial and noise can be heard on any of their 8 studio albums or seen on
their countless music videos and live DVDs. After playing FUJI ROCK FES and the SXSW and tour of the United States.
Now for the second hat. Both as a solo artist and dj, AYASHIGE has worked with a wide
range of worldwide talent. Appearing on Ken Ishii and DJ Tasaka second album
as vocalist as well as performing live with the likes of Tsuyoshi Suzuki. His chillout
project Cafe Himalaya('00) is a truly amazing musical work. Not only has he
remixed acts such as Coolio and Loudness but his own tracks have been gaining
recognition and demand from abroad. His single HIGH ENERGY even found itself at
the top of Italian dance charts. He experienced 2 times dj tour of the European area.
