He is both a musical connoisseur and an autodidact; known for playing many eclectic styles of music including house, hip hop, soul, acid-jazz, disco, lounge, bossa nova, and salsa among other styles. The self-proclaimed “Miles Davis of DJs” got his start as a disc jockey while residing in Tokyo, Japan in late 2005. Antomattei credits DJs Tony Humphries, Masters At Work and Dimitri From Paris as his influences. The artist name "Antomattei of Tokyo" is a spin on the name and an open homage to DJ Dimitri From Paris.
Music runs deep in Marc Antomattei's family roots, especially in Latin music. Marc Antomattei is the nephew of Agustin "Augie" Antomattei, an exceptional salsa trumpeter who has performed with greats such as Eddie Palmieri (2x Grammy Award winning orchestra), Bobby Valentin, Cano Extremera, Jose Alberto, Pellin Rodrguez, and the Puerto Rico All Stars (a legendary salsa jazz band that was the Puerto Rico alternative to the acclaimed New York based Fania All Stars). He is also a nephew of Victor "Cano" Gonzalez, another salsa trumpter who has been performing with the world famous El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico (2x Grammy winners) since 1980. His grandfather's brother Candido Antomattei, was one of two main vocalist in Arsenio Rodrguez's conjunto, a band that was part of the roots in the establishment of latin music genres such as mambo and salsa.
In 2006 Antomattei befriended Mark Dwayne, a singer and magazine owner from Birmingham, England. The West Midlands based magazine “Street Cred”, is the UK’s number 1 entertainment and lifestyle magazine in which Antomattei was an occasional contributing writer for. In July 2008, Dwayne gave Antomattei the news that he was booked in the UK’s second city of Birmingham to play an event on Boxing Day December 26, 2008 at the Street Cred sponsored event “Funkaliscious”. Having taken place at the now defunct club Barracuda, it was the West Midlands biggest monthly residency party.
In his resident city of Tokyo, Japan Antomattei has played at venues all across the Greater Tokyo Area including Shibuya, Harajuku, Roppongi, Aoyama, Shinjuku, Akasaka, Yokohama, Chiba and the Shonan beach area. In the later half of 2009 Antomattei branched out to the western part of Japan's mainland of Honshu Island, where he played smaller gigs in the city of Nagoya.
Antomattei still today is one of Tokyo's most active and important expatriate DJs. In the world's largest city where the city is over-saturated with dime a dozen DJs, Antomattei remains a prominent individual for cutting out a niche for himself and staying true to the music. In a monotonous sea where most DJs sound the same, Antomattei has branded himself with his unwavering commitment to not be a faceless DJ that only plays top 40 as so many are, but instead be a real DJ with his original sound that goes against the grain that can't be replicated.

Her soulful vocal and lyrics quickly garnered a large fan base nationwide. What followed in the next years since then were 13 singles, 4 albums and a best-of collection. Silva produces and writes most of her material, and has contributed songs and lyrics to many other artists.
Fast forward to 2003, she decided to add another title to her resume: DJ.
“I was looking for the right vehicle that would let me perform my music in my own, unique way,” she says. “I originally started out singing at nightclubs; and now I wanted to be back in a closer interaction with my audience. So, DJing seemed like such a natural ride.”
Thanks to her clear-cut talent and ear for body- and soul-shaking tunes, she became one of Japan’s most sought-after club DJs in no time. She also began incorporating scat and live vocals over her house mix during her set. Indeed, this distinct performance style set her further apart from other DJs around, drawing the attention from overseas promoters and DJs. As of March ’08, she’s already held down numerous gigs at packed nightclubs and special events ? not just in Japan but also in Korea, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Russia, Ukraine and the USA.
Aside from music, Silva’s dazzling presence and personality also earned her own TV and radio shows on national networks, a commercial spot, and acting opportunities. It is only appropriate for an artist of her caliber that she has successfully launched two clothing lines in 2000 and 2007.
Already a household name in Japan, DJ Silva is ready to take on the U.S. and European scenes with her one-of-a-kind style and skills. She currently has two albums and two singles in works, set for release later this year through Tokyo-based label For Life and NY-based King Street Sounds. Her original latest single `One 2 One`(King Street Sounds NY/Aug 2008) , 2 albums 'Queen of House' , 'One 2 One' (For Life Japan/Oct 2008), and her Remix produced works 'Gotta Be Me' (Kult Records NY/July 2009), 'Tingling All Over' (House Calls NY/May 2010), 'Lift Me Up' , 'Stay with me' (SOUNDMEN On WAX NY /March 2010), 'Fierce' (Kult Records NY/June 2010) are in stores now.

Usually a performer of live music at more evening time upscale venues such as hotels (Tokyo Dome Hotel, The Ritz Carlton Midtown), restaurants (le Pettit tonneau), and bars, she was brought into the after hours nightlife scene by DJ Steve Blake and his organizing label Tokyo Unite.
In 2012 she performed at major Tokyo club events such as "BOND NIGHT", an action packed event celebrating 50 years of James Bond where she performed live 007 movie theme songs while being backed by DJ Antomattei of Tokyo; and "RETRO UK" with legendary Asia based DJ Graham Gold celebrating 25 years of the best UK dance music on the planet.
She will finish the year performing live at the Shangri-la Hotel in Tokyo's "End of the Year Party" hosted by Tokyo Knights 東京ナイツ, a formal after hours party being organized by the same organizers that made 2011's hit "Michael Jackson Tribute Live After Party". More than 1000 people are expected to attend.
