About Villain:
It’s been said if Nine Inch Nails and Daft Punk had a baby, it might sound something like Tokyo based power trio Villain. Combining cutting edge drum samples, progressive synthesizers, power cords and deep bass lines - Villain’s sound is so unique - it’s impossible to define within a single genre.
They’ve been accused of playing Rock, Progressive House, EDM, Techno and everything in between. Villain even made up a genre called Rocktronic, but even that doesn’t do the band’s sound Justice.
A huge part of the Villain experience is their unbelievable live performance. It has to be seen and heard to be truly understood. Villain's manic, high-energy performances, accompanied by rave-like lighting, turn the band’s adrenalized concerts into mind-blowing experiences. It’s a dance party that rocks.
Villain consist of London-born bassist Alex Fujino, Boston's prodigal-guitarist-son Jon Pappas, and Toronto front-man and button pusher, Mike Armstrong.
Mike is also known as progressive house DJ Model Citizen who, as a DJ and producer, and has played some of the top clubs in Tokyo including Ageha, Womb, Club Asia, and Bullets.
