Geodesick

Teppei Takahashi(TEPCO):

He began photography when he was in elemental school and has awoken to the joy of cutting parts out of the world with his camera.
He administered Nihon University, collage of art, course of photography in 2004.
When he was traveling around the world, he was shocked by rave-culture in Goa of India.
Since then he has been to parties, taken pictures, and created works in madly manner.
And he worked at awan cafe in Omiya where he live in, started DJing.

After graduating the University, he tripped around Australia for a year, taken pictures of local parties and great nature, learned contact juggling by himself and started performing on the road and parties.
After coming back to Japan, he has done slide-show, photo-exhibition, designing flyers, and organizing the party called "folder" , which harmonizes music, vision, and space.

It was natural for him to become a VJ using his photo skills , video-making, programing , and any other kind of visual things.






Activities:

They first met at awan cafe in September 2009.
X'mas on the same year, they started VJ as Geodesick at a party called "folder".
Since then they have performed in clubs/cafe/outdoor parties in tokyo and other places.
They mix n mash their original images and videos in live. When music join, it creates multi-dimensional art space which u never seen before

Besides performing as VJ, they also do graphic-design, motion-graphics, music-making, and performing art.




Geodesick is:

Person is a point, connection between two person is a line.
Connecting of lines becomes planes, which is society.
Geodesic means multi-planed groups of societies, which means the earth.
