Andre McLeod aka Kingston19 is a DJ/ Producer originally from Kingston,Jamaica who moved to " The Big Apple " in the early 90's. During that time his love for all kinds of music grew, and shortly after followed in his father's footsteps by picking up guitar and flirted with the notion of becoming a " Rock Star ". As time went on, Andre's distaste for the band format grew and he later went back to his roots of sorts, by collecting records and started djing around New York.

Andre always preferred the more intimate spots that were once prevalent in the Lower East Side, NYC. At the time there were more discerning dance floors to play to, where one could easily hear dub, deep house, rock, new wave etc. all in the same night. A brief stint saw Andre move north to Stockholm, Sweden where he managed a small club called Gotcha, and played at notable spots such as Berns and Halv Trappa.

Now after 10 years back in New York djing and improving his production skills, Andre continues his adventures in Tokyo, Japan. [He] plans on launching his digital imprint ( Upper Ghetto Recordings ) this year as a vehicle for his own original, unreleased material and those of his compatriots - stay tuned for more!!!
