Tribute to Michael Jackson

June 25th marks a year since the untimely passing of Michael Jackson. Le Baron de Paris has assembled a group of guest selectors who will serve up a fitting tribute to the legendary performer. Celebrate his work with us tonight!

Masatoshi Uemura (bonjour records)
Masatoshi Uemura has worked the decks with international acts like Madonna, 2 many DJs, Digitalism, Steve Aoki, Diplo, A-Trak, James Murphy, Gildas & Masaya (Kitsune) and Van She. He is highly respected by the Tokyo fashion community and fills the post of music director at some of Tokyo's top boutiques, as well as being involved in soundtracking runway shows for Chloe. He is also chief buyer for at Bonjour Records, a trendy music store in Tokyo known for its cutting edge selection.

Daisuke Gemma
Born in 1975. Moved to London in 1996, and joined in London’s over 35-year-old well-established boutique Browns and served a buyer. Family the now-defunct boutique he opened in Nakameguro in 2002 after he came back from London is still legendary and served an executive director for WR and up to the present date he worked as a branding director at CELUX and buying consultant at LANE CRAWFORD.

DJ P.O.L. Style (T&A, Nightshifters, Numbers)
Glasgow-born DJ P.O.L style formed the renowned Numbers event a few years back with members of Dress 2 Sweat, Wireblock and Stuff Records and he currently plays around the Tokyo DJ circuit. He mixes crunk, bassline, Bmore and booty bass in a style he has christened “Crunkstep”

Romain
Romain is a veteran of the French electro scene. He has played at top clubs all over the world including pace in Ibiza, Fabrik in London, Cookies and Week End in Berlin and Zeppelin in Moscow. He has performed at parties for brands like Louis Vuitton, Givenchy and Calvin Klein and also did the music for promotional films for L'Oreal and Nike. He has played after parties for shows by artists such as Kelis, Kylie Minogue and Franz Ferdinand as well as special events such as the Cannes Film Festival and MTV Awards parties. He is the proprietor of record label 'Basenotic and G-Swing'.
