So was born in Sendai, works as a graphic designer, and is now 32 years old. He is a resident dj for the Japanese outdoor festival “The Labyrinth”, which just held its tenth anniversary event last year. He’s been playing classical piano for 12 years and dj’ing now for 14 years.

Having started his music career in the year 2000, KUSDA is currently one of the leading DJs in the Tokyo scene, supported by the hip and culturally creative RAFT TOKYO team of arti...Having started his music career in the year 2000, KUSDA is currently one of the leading DJs in the Tokyo scene, supported by the hip and culturally creative RAFT TOKYO team of artists and DJs in Japan. After completing his first tour of Europe in 2006, he felt the influences of the minimal and deep house music from artists who performed at famous clubs such as “DC 10” in Ibiza, known as the Mecca of dance music. Since then, he has formed his own unique style, seamlessly mixing the sounds of minimal techno and house with an original edgy vibe.
In 2011 he won 1st place at the PATAGONICA DJ competition in Japan, organized by Parties 4 Peace and was invited to travel to Chile, South America to play with the leading artists in the underground electronic scene in March of 2012. Following his South American tour, Parties 4 Peace invited him to join the RED DOT RELIEF party organized in New York City with other great producers such as John Selway, Jay Haze and Eric Cloutier.

But, It wasn't until he arrived in Tokyo that he rea...Coming from the Midwest on the outskirts of Chicago, Marko has always been influenced by blues, r&b , jazz, funk, and soul. But, It wasn't until he arrived in Tokyo that he realized his love for Electronic music and the culture it came with. He bought his first dj set up and within 6 months he had his first gig at Liqudroom in Ebisu as a guest for Ray Ban. Soon gigs at premier events at Velours, and AIR followed. As the years went by Marko's sound developed a more defined underground vibe. Deep house and techno with a touch of his Chicago Midwest roots. He recently started his own event FOUNDATION along with Residency at Jam Renaissence. This is only the beginning and keep your ears and eyes out for this upcoming talent.
