88年頃よりDJ活動をスタート。03年初のMIX CD『KENJI TAKIMI. THE DJ AT THE
GATES OF DAWN-DANCESTONELIVE-』をリリース。多数の海外レーベルにもライセンスされた“CRUE-L GRAND ORCHESTRA”をはじめ、プロデュース作、 CorneliusやA Mountain of Oneなどリミックス作も多数。2007年にはRhythmzoneよりMIX CD『THE DJ AT THE GATES OF DAWN 2』がリリース。“LUGER E-GO”名義での制作活動も。今年設立19周年を迎える、日本を代表するインディペンデント・レーベル、クルーエル主宰でもある。
09年夏にはクロアチアで行われたフェスティヴァル“Electric Elephant”にも出演。2010年5月にはHorse Meat DiscoやBad Passion Projectを含むUKツアーを敢行。8月にCRUE-L GRAND ORCHESTRA「(You are) More Than Paradise」の18分に及ぶTheo Parrish Translation 12"が、9月末にはNew12""Barbarella"がリリース。2011年には複数のレーベルからRe-Editがリリース、Euroツアーも予定されている。

Currently working on his debut release from his apartment in the heart of Shibuya set for release early next year. Modular Records favourite sons Cut Copy have put up their hands up to release Das Moth’s debut on their boutique label Cutters Records (Midnight Juggernauts, Knightlife, KIM, Voltage). Timothy is currently running a club night at the world famous club, Le Baron De Paris in Tokyo.

LondonやIbizaのシーンに影響を受けたライトでファンキーなHouseを軸に、Old SchoolやDeep House、Techno、Disco風味なトラックまでをも横断する幅広いDJスタイルで活躍中のDJ/Producer。2001年、自身初の作品がLuke VibertやDJ Spooky等、アブストラクト界のトップDJ達と並び収録される。その後...LondonやIbizaのシーンに影響を受けたライトでファンキーなHouseを軸に、Old SchoolやDeep House、Techno、Disco風味なトラックまでをも横断する幅広いDJスタイルで活躍中のDJ/Producer。2001年、自身初の作品がLuke VibertやDJ Spooky等、アブストラクト界のトップDJ達と並び収録される。その後渡英し、当時Chicken Lips等が所属していたKingsize Recordsと契約、初の12インチEP「Liquid Body」を発表。Tomoki TamuraとのDJデュオGeisha Disco Boyzとしては、毎週末Londonのクラウドたちを魅了し、Ministry of SoundやThe End Club/AKAでJimpster、Xpress-2、Andrew Weatherall等豪華なゲスト陣を迎え、毎月必ず行列ができる人気パーティー、HOLICをオーガナイズした。帰国後も、Phonique主宰Ladies & Gentlemenからのリリース、WOMB@THE END LONDONへの参加、BerlinのTresorでのプレイなど活動の幅を着実に広げている。2010年にはSATOSHI OTSUKI、TAKUYAと共にSurvival DanceをWOMBにて立ち上げ、2011年には、幕張メッセで行われたWOMB ADVENTUREのメインステージにも登場した。今後も活躍が期待される日本人DJの一人である。

Not content to follow trends or
pigeonhole himself, Ospovat draws on a diverse range of influences such as techno, progressive house, electronica, synthpop and improvisational jam bands to make energetic dance music that is rich in feeling. A desire to create an
experience that is both dynamic and engaging infuses his live performances, which see him playing and controlling synthesizers, a laptop, and a midi-controller in real time, as well as running his own live vocals through guitar effects pedals and playing guitar. His music has been called reminiscent of Henrik Schwarz.
Ospovat has played live extensively since 2003 across America and Japan, including the 2004 Fuji Rock Festival and a 2007 U.S. tour. He is a resident at the popular and long-running Real Grooves club events in Tokyo, where he has
opened for the Wighnomy Brothers, John Tejada, Guillaume and the Coutu Dumonts, Extrawelt, and Los Hermanos. He has shared bills with Pier Bucci, Robag Wruhme, Gerald Mitchell, and Marc Schneider.
2009 saw releases on KSR House and DHP (Deep House Project), and on his label Continental Drift Records, launched with Craig Oldring (c_olvrin) in October 2009. His ‘He’s Not a Machine’ (EP) was released on Continental Drift in
September 2010. He has performed recently at Unit, Aoi Heya, and Eleven (formerly Space Lab Yellow) in Tokyo.

He is currently working with companies and record labels in Tokyo. He studied Philosophy, Linguistics and Art History in Philadelphia and his multimedia artworks have focused on the archaeology of typography, analytic cubism and futurism, writing machines, memory, perception and perversion.
