Legendary beach party "BIG BEACH BOUTIQUE" coming to Japan!!

Do you know the legendary beach party "BIG BEACH BOUTIQUE" that was hosted by Norman Cook aka Fatboy Slim at his hometown Brighton, UK in 2001 and 2002? It gathered 250,000 people creating chaos, and police regulations banned it from then on for a period of time, hence the legend.

But...Fatboy Slim held a party in '05 at Bondai Beach in Australia, and in June of '06 he hosted "ROCKNESS FESTIVAL" in Loch Ness, UK. In '07 he went back to his hometown Brighton and revived the concert limited to local residents only with 20,000 attendance.

In 2009, that legend came to Japan as "BIG BEACH FESTIVAL" It was the one and only event that Fatboy Slim recognized as an official party, and gathered 20,000 people. This will be the fourth year for this event, and it has been announced that it will be held simultaneously in both Japan and the UK.

This year, we welcome the Chemical Brothers (DJ set) to headline the festival, and they are just about to release their first live album “DON’T THINK” (CD+DVD) on March 21 (Wed)! It brings back memories, as they rocked the beach the last time they performed (2010), with everyone joining to sing along to “Hey Boy, Hey Girl” during the fireworks finale!!!

Currently, the Chemical Brothers are working on the soundtrack for “Now You See Me” but they do plan on playing some new songs at the festival.
The Chemical Brothers will definitely create a whirlwind again this summer!

The charisma of Progressive House, John Digweed.

30 years under his belt and continuing to stand strong at the frontline, Timo Maas.
Owner of popular label “Moon Harbour”, Matthias Tanzmann.

First time in history! UK Beatbox Champion for two consecutive years, Beardyman.
UK DMC Champion of 2007 & 11, JFB.
Both artists have performed at the original “Big Beach Boutique” in Brighton, UK, receiving the official go sign from Fatboy Slim.
