Takahiro "matzz" Matsuoka (quasimode)
2000年に結成し、クラブやライヴハウスなどでの地道な活動を経て2005 年にレコーディングした楽曲が、小林径氏監修の「Routine Jazz #07」に収録された事をきっかけに脚光を浴び、現在も国内外問わず飛躍し続けている「quasimode(クオシモード)」 のパーカッショニスト。
07年9月には待望のセカンドアルバム[The Land of Freedom]をメジャーリリース。ツアーのハイライトとして11月、恵比寿リキッドルームにてカーメンランディ他、豪華ゲストを招いて盛大に行われたリリースパーティの模様を収めた[Straight to TheLand of Freedom]を翌3月5日にリリースした。
ジャザノヴァ主宰のソナー・コレクティヴからもライセンスリリースされ、世界発売を果たす。
2008年10月3日には待望の3rdアルバム「SOUNDS OF PEACE」をリリースし、クラブジャズバンドとしては異例のオリコン・アルバム総合チャート６９位にランクインした。同作品はタワーレコードJAZZ総合年間チャート２位、i-Tunesベスト・ジャズ・アルバムにも選出されるなど、日本国内では名実ともにナンバーワン・クラブジャズ・バンドとしての評価を確固たるものにする。
そして 2009年１月28日、JAZZの名門「BLUE NOTE」レーベルの創設７０周年を記念したアニバーサリー・カバー企画の日本代表として、カバーアルバム「mode of blue」をBLUE NOTEよりリリースし、iTunesはもとより、HMVやタワーレコード、AMAZONなどのJAZZチャートで軒並み1位を獲得する。
多忙を極めるquasimodeでの活動の他、パーカッション・ドラムで都内を中心に多方面においてセッション・サポート等勢力的に活動中。常日頃から魂の篭った情味ある物を表現しようと心が
けている。また、quasimodeのメンバーとしては唯一DJとしても活動中で、パーカッショニストならではの選曲には定評がある。プランツレーベル主催のコンガワークショップやアパレルブランド
「montyacc (モンティアック)」を主催とその活動は多岐に渡る。

A percussionist of "quasimode" whom I continue jumping to without I form it in 2000, and the musical piece that it pass, and recorded the steady activity in a club or the live house in 2005 comes into the limelight triggered by what was recorded in "Routine Jazz #07" of the Mr. Kei Kobayashi supervision, and asking it inside and outside the country now.
It is major release in second album [The Land of Freedom] long-awaited in September, 07. I released [Straight to TheLand of Freedom] where I put the design of the release party that I invited Carmen Randie et al., a luxurious guest as a highlight of the tours in Ebisu hair lotion room in November, and was performed grandly in on March 5, the following day.
I license it from sSonar Kollektiv of the jazzanova sponsorship, and it is released and achieves world release.
I released long-awaited 3rd album "SOUNDS OF PEACE" on October 3, 2008 and was ranked exceptional cage Kon album synthesis chart the 69th place as a club jazz band. The work by the same author product is picked in Tower Records JAZZ general annual chart the second place, i-Tunes best jazz album and makes the evaluation as the number one club jazz band a firm one in Japan both in name and in reality.
And I release cover album "mode of blue" as a Japanese representative of the cover plan from BLUE NOTE in an anniversary in commemoration of foundation the 70th anniversary of the noble "BLUE NOTE" label of JAZZ, and, on January 28, 2009, iTunes all acquires the first place in JAZZ charts such as HMV and Tower Records, AMAZON from the start.
Other than activity in quasimode which is full of the pressure, I am active for power such as session support in many aspects with a percussion drum around Tokyo. I keep it in mind to express a certain human kindness thing that was full of the soul every day. In addition, I have a good reputation for the selection of music only by the percussionist of activity for a member of quasimode as only DJ. Sponsorship and the activity cross conga workshop and apparel brand "montyacc" (mon TEAC) where they are hosted by Plantu label to many divergences.
