New signings for 2010 on First Word, Herma Puma met through a shared love of obscure jazz, library and funk records. The transatlantic Hip Hop duo (Pimpernel Jones (UK) and Simple X (US)) quickly started to produce beats together. Their style of head nodding grooves are a melting pot of the last hundred years of music flipped into fresh production for today. They have recently put the finishing touches to their debut LP ? Synchromystic ? a future Hip Hop classic for the 21st Century feat the cream of Chicago and UK’s MCs. Look out for the album this June, preceded by a limited edition 7″.
