1986年ハイスクール ラジオ ステーションでハウス絶頂のころ。初めてのクラブ在籍は1989年、オーストラリア アデレードにある小さなアンダーグラウンドクラブ“The Strand(ザ・ストランド”でした。“教会の街“では、多くがその手のクラブ初期頃で、Toucan Tou, Absolute Infinity, Limbo, D.E.E.P, Paradise Garage (Adelaide), Metro, Synagogue, Proscenium, Cargo Club, The Cumberland, Kumfy Klub, Q Bar & Sugar にて、また一連の 大小ワンオフのイン＆アウトドアダンスパーティ へも参加。
2000年ニューイヤーズィブ（年末）には、オーストラリア、ビクトリア州Lake Eildon,（エイルドン湖）での大イベントにてプレイ！爆発的にすごかった！
2003年シドニーへ移り、オーストラリアのダンスシーン拠点、グルービーなカクテルラウンジが多くあるキングスクロスのTonic（ケン、ありがと！）にて、約2年間にわたり定期・不定期にプレイ。その後約2年間活動休止。
2008年横浜に移り、六本木にあるライム/東京スポーツカフェにて数カ月プレイ。踊れる環境ではなかったのですが、場所はよくバースタッフは最高でした！
音楽的に影響受けたのが、Larry Heard (AKA Mr. Fingers), Carl Craig, Masters At Work, Moodymann, Kerri Chandler, Joey Negro, Kevin Saunderson, Jaun Atkins, Derrick May, Afrika Bambaataa, Underground Resistance, Metro Area, Recloose, Naked Music などなど、こんあところで多分これでだいたい判ってくれるんじゃないかな?（笑）と思います。
今のところ、東京/横浜エリアにてDJギグを検索中です。
ROM Selecta started DJing during the pinnacle of house, 1986 at his high school's radio station! His first club residency was in 1989 at a small underground house club called 'The Strand' in the city of Adelaide, Australia. It was the first of many in the 'City of Churches'... Toucan Tou, Absolute Infinity, Limbo, DEEP, Paradise Garage (Adelaide), Metro, Synagogue, Proscenium, Cargo Club, The Cumberland, Kumfy Klub, Q Bar & Sugar, along with a string of small to large, indoor and outdoor one off dance parties.
On NYE 2000 he had the privilege to play at Earthcore, Lake Eildon, Victoria, Australia, a 20000 strong party! What a blast that was!
In 2003 he moved to Sydney, the dance capital of Australia and gained residency at a groovy little cocktail lounge in Kings Cross, called Tonic (Thanks Ken!).
In 2008 he moved to Yokohama, Japan and has so far DJed at Lime, 'Turned On' @ Club Asia and White Room.
His musical influences are Larry Heard (AKA Mr. Fingers), Carl Craig, Masters At Work, Moodymann, Kerri Chandler, Joey Negro, Kevin Saunderson, Jaun Atkins, Derrick May, Afrika Bambaataa, Underground Resistance, Metro Area, Recloose, Naked Music and... well, you get the general idea LOL...
He is currently looking for DJ gigs around Tokyo/Yokohama.
