独特の世界観＆表現力を持ち、Graphic Design、Photograph、VJと視覚に訴えるヴィジュアルを創りだすクリエイター。
地元香川では、高松唯一のクラブイベント．コーディネイト企業、SPIRAL主催のGAY MIX PARTY「explosion」のレジデントVJとして活躍し、地方のVJシーンを牽引してきた。
活動は日本だけに留まらず、2004年、F1GPマレーシアでのマルボロ主催のパーティ「RED ZONE」を皮切りに、中国、韓国、マレーシア、タイ、シンガポールなどアジア諸国を中心にVJ活動の範囲を拡大。
これまでに、David Morales,Frank Muller,Timo Mass,Fergie,DONALD GLAUDE,ANNE SAVAGE,CHRISTPHER LAWRENCE,KEN ISHII,THE PRODIGY,JungleJerry,K-ZEE,など世界の名立たるアーティストたちと競演する。
また、 今話題の 香川美少女図鑑のデザイン＆アートディレクションを担当するなど常に新しいクリエイションを追求している。
In 1998, TOKU (Naruhito Tokumaru) started 「SORT」 as his personal art unit.
This unit was originally started with live painting performance to synchronize the club sound.
TOKU experienced visual jockey (VJ), at Karma gig in Osaka, first time.
He found the different form to express his artwork just by using visual performance that may talk to one’s mind directly,
yet subliminally.
In 1999, TOKU started his own visual jockey unit.
He wanted his unit to have no boundary and no limitation for the way to express oneself artistically.
So he first choose the word 「ASSORT」 for the unit name, then it shorten to 「SORT」
As 「SORT」, TOKU perform in local gigs with DJ unit 「YSR」 to acquire his basic VJ skills, and soon later, TEN (Shinji Tenkumo) joined the unit
The SORT VJs, TOKU and TEN, seek their own ways to express their artistic and intuitive visual world that to result them to become experienced high skilled VJ performers.
As you already know, SORT VJs are always standing at the front line with their performance, and CG creating work.
Their ambition also led to accept the fore front technology usage of the latest equipment such as to take in DVD player for their performance to get the best result for the performance possible.
Since the year of 2002, they have more chance to perform at oversea gigs with famous DJs,David Morales,Frank Muller,Jungle Jelly,DAL palan,Timo Mass,Fergie,and more.
Today, SORT VJs are performing actively in Asian countries.
The VJ unit 「SORT」 continues to Expand and to Evolve.
