1998年からロンドン、そして2000年からはニューヨークに滞在。滞在中はあのThe Bomb Squad (パブリックエニミーのファウンダー、プロデューサー）のプログラマー、エンジニアなどを務め、世界のダンスミュージックをプロデュースチーム側から常に見つめてきた。2009年帰国を期に、ついに自身がアーティストとして変貌を遂げ、そのプログラミングスキルをLIVEという形で披露し始める。また、今年９月からTOMOYUKI YASUDAと共にマルチレーベル’’WITT’’の代表兼アーティストを務め、同社からのファーストシングルの発売が決定している。これまでにプロデュースしたアーティストはbryantk steward、Nadda、Dj Vlado,など多数、世界に通用する数少ない日本人アーティスト、プロデューサーの一人である。
Living in London from 1998 and then New York from 2000, the cockney-accented Shigehiro Maekawa (Sonic Orchestrations) certainly has broader horizons than most. During his time abroad he worked as a music programmer and engineer for The Bomb Squad (founder and producer of Public Enemy) and saw the world of dance music up close, from the inside out, so to speak. Returning to Japan in 2009 he signed with WITT record label in September in collaboration with Tomoyuki Yasuda. Their first release is currently in production.
Shigehiro's music production skills have been employed by bryantk steward, Nadda, DJ Vlado, amongst others.
