1990年代中盤、それまで行っていたバンド活動と平行しつつ、ソロとしてのキャリアをスタート。フリーキーかつフレキシブルなスタイルで、野外パーティシーンの黎明期からDJ /?ライブアクトとして活動、国内外の数多くのパーティ?/?レイブにてプレイしてきたUKiASHi。独特の幅広い音楽性を内包する“UKiASHi?サウンド”は、遙か彼方にまで響き渡るオーガニック・アンサンブルを奏で、人々の心を包み込み、そして解き放つ…。国内外のさまざまなアーティストとの共演をはじめ自らの楽曲制作も精力的に行い、自身のアルバム「SURF MIRAGE」のほか、他アーティスト?/?コンピレーションCDなど数多くの作品にも参加している。
また近年は、自身のライフログ的側面をもつ、旅する音楽プロジェクト“Little Ambient Trunk”を展開。ほかにも、インスタレーションサウンドプロデュース、CM・映像音楽、楽曲提供、Web音楽など、幅広いフィールドで活動している。

UKiASHi that acts as live DJ/act at dawn of outsude rave/party scene, and has been played by a lot of domestic and foreign party/rave. A domestic and foreign co-starring with various artists and own track production are done aggressively. UKiASHi as the project of AKiLA. His creations resound a freaky and flexible style expressing originality through floating pads and ambiences. This organic ensemble echoes from afar enveloping all listener`s hearts in a warm sound and enabling release from all external pressures. (wow! sounds good doesn`t it ;-) It participates in a lot of works like another artist/compilation CD etc. besides own album "SURF MIRAGE".
