KenKuroの2012年イベント第１弾はパリのブッダバーからレジデントDJのRavinを招聘します！
インド洋に浮かぶモーリシャス島で生まれたRavinは幼年期から音楽への情熱を深め、1980年代末期にはパリの伝説的なクラブThe RexやBain DouchesのレジデントDJとなります。
1997年にオープンしたパリのBuddha BarはRavinに取って大きなターニングポイントとなり、荘厳な寺院のような雰囲気を持つ店は彼の東洋と西洋の調和的な音楽と完璧なマッチングを醸し出すこととなりました。
10年以上Buddha BarのレジデントDJを務めるRavinの国際的名声は増すばかりでジャン・ポール・ゴルティエのファッションショー、スティングのプライベート・パーティ、ブルガリやアルマーニのイベントでも活躍しています。
DJ以外にもプロデューサーとしてBuddha Bar III, VI, VII, IXにおいてはダブル・ゴールデンディスクを受賞し、Fashion TV Club Session, Nirvana Loungeなどのアルバムも手がけています。

KenKuro's first party of 2012 presents DJ Ravin, the resident DJ of Buddha Bar in Paris.
Born in the Indian Ocean on the island of Mauritius, Ravin moved to France as a teenager where he developed his childhood passion: music. Paris cultivated his interest in dance music and club culture; hence his musical style mixed the eastern airs of his youth with the electronic sounds of his new home in Paris.
The opening of the Buddha Bar, Paris in 1997 marked a turning point in Ravin’s musical direction. The magical atmosphere of this temple-like place harmonised perfectly with Ravin’s personality and artistic taste. More than decade, while Ravin still remains resident DJ at the Buddha Bar Paris, his growing international reputation has taken him to some of the world’s most cutting edge clubs, also playing at Jean Paul Gauthier s Fashion Show, private parties for Sting or for the most exclusive brands as Bulgari, Armani, and many more.
While developing a dj career, Ravin is increasingly interested in the art of remixing and producing, and he’s now solicited as one of the music world’s greatest talents. Ravin has produced many well-known compilation series: Buddha Bar, Siddharta, Fashion TV Club Session, Nirvana Lounge and etc. He gained a double gold disc as author of Buddha Bar III, VI, VII, IX and the following year released Amnesty International with Frank Nigel to commemorate its 40th anniversary.

We will also have special performance by American Apparel's dance team. Known for its colorful and cutting-edge style, American Apparel is ardently supported by fashionistas. A special dance unit produced and choreographed by American Apparel's Tokyo staff will make a dance performance. The team made the appearance at Michael Jackson's Tribute after-party last December.
Exotic belly dancers will also mesmerize you and Japan's top DJs will be lined up to make sure to keep your feet on the floor until dawn.

Since then he participated in more than 100 gigs between Tokyo and London, leading him to become a DJ in the year 2000.
Since beginning his DJ career in Tokyo, he soon became the resident DJ of "EDEN" at Club AIR in Tokyo. He not only became a popular DJ in Tokyo, but also helped create many parties, including a collaboration party with world class organizers such as Global Underground and Serious. These club events continue growing today, with over 500 people at each event, leading them to be known as one of the most respected underground parties in Tokyo.
On 2005, Ryo participated in a gig at Room in Melborune, Australia and made his first trip abroad as an artist. In 2006, his first original track `Smashing Pumpkin` was listed on a Compilation CD of EDEN, leading him to begin producing new music to compete in the Tokyo music scene. Later, in October of 2008, Ryo took off on a tour of Indonesia, including a gig for the Halloween party at 66 in Bali, which gathered over 1000 people and further strengthened his career as an artist in Asia.
Since 2008, Ryo began organizing a new party called “Weekend Warriorz”, bringing in artists such as Doc Martin (Sublevel/US) and Giles Smith (Secretsundaze/UK), Damian Schwartz (Oslo/spain), 2000 and One (100%pure/Amsterdam) which showed his passion and vision towards a new dimention of house music at an international level.
In February of 2009 he had his first gig in Bangkok, Thailand, which led him to start a radio program entitled "Tokyo Sessions" on the most famous dance music radio station in Bangkok - UB Radio. Also in 2009, Ryo won the Red Bull club event competition “RED BULL NIGHT MASTER” through EDEN and became known for the No.1 club party in Japan.
Ryo claims that his music is techno oriented house, but basically believes that categorizing music is meaningless, and always focuses on playing what he needs to express his feeling and enjoyment of music. This year Ryo won the PATAGONICA DJ Contest, organized by Parties 4 Peace, and has traveled to Chile, South America in February of 2010. He made a tour with 7gigs showing off his musical talent as the champion from Tokyo, Japan.

abroad events like ONEDOTZERO: Future Anime in Warsaw , also playing
in venues of Amsterdam, Rome and others.
Urushi is putting effort in synchronizing the visuals with the sound
using Sound Detection System to create multilayer pictures that
indicate new trends of visual performance.
