Tickets for FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL '20 are now on sale for customers outside of Japan at iFLYER!

FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL, one of the largest outdoor music festivals in Japan, held every year at Naeba Ski Resort, has just announced the first round of artists on the lineup for 2020. With this year's Olympic Games scheduled in Tokyo, the festival will be held from August 21 (Fri) to 23 (Sun).
 
One of the most important bands of the 2000's, The Strokes will return to Naeba for the first time in 14 years since Fuji Rock '06 ahead of their long-awaited new release! Their last performance was wonderful so there's no doubt that this further scaled up show will be a must-see. Next, after being featured at last year's Coachella, rock stars of the new generation Tame Impala will return to the stage at Fuji Rock for the first time since Fuji Rock '13, this time as a headliner for the event.

Disclosure, who rocketed to the top of the modern dance music scene, and Major Lazer, led by genius producer Diplo are perfect acts for the dawn of the 2020's, already solidifying headliner positions at festivals in other countries. Not only did she achieve the highest possible marks from Pitchfork for her latest release in 2019, but she's also widely active as a fashion icon, the one-of-a-kind FKA twigs is joining the lineup along with MURA MASA, whose new works are a genreless expression that confirm his genius.

Next up, Tom Misch who you may remember from his sold-out show in Tokyo last May, veteran folk singer Jackson Browne, who also played in the Rock Hall of Fame, Donavan Frankenreiter, the surf music monument, Rufus Wainwright, a treasured songwriter born in the United States, Metronomy, an electro-pop band that manipulates beats with sharp edges, and Vulfpeck collaborator Cory Wong are also heading to Naeba!

Boasting high support from the electro scene with his sonic precision, Floating Points will come in with a live set. In addition, don't miss must-see artists from the rock, electro, and dance scenes like Colin Benders, Derrick May, Gryffin, LINDSTRØM, and ROMY.

Grammy-nominated newcomers Black Pumas and BBC Music Introducing Artist of the Year Celeste, as well as Altin Gun, Blackbear, Clairo, Emotional Oranges, Fantastic Negrito, Fontaines DC, Future Islands, Georgia, Men I Trust, Neal Francis, and Yumi Zouma have also made it into this round.

FUJI ROCK regulars FRENTE CUMBIERO, Muscle Shoals Soul Revue featuring Willie Hightower, Charles Hodges & Scott Sharrard are also on the bill for a total 33 artists in this first lineup announcement for FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL 2020.
