Bruce Mennel is a Tokyo based veteran DJ with over 15 years of career with unique skills on 3 decks and a producer who, with his new OPERIO imprint, has proven himself innovative by unveiling a new identity in electronic music.
OPERIO's funk-filled rhythms, dark and tight basslines, woobles, a dash of groove and well crafted patterns are it's signature.
Coming from the north-eastern France, Bruce was influenced by the dominant European sounds of late-90s England and Germany and took inspiration from labels like Axis, Drumcode, Tresor, CLR, Bush, Zenit, Primate... but are too numerous to mention them all.
He has organized events for renowned Tokyo nightlife clubs like WOMB and AIR, and has collaborated with world-class DJs such as Ken Ishii, The Advent, Fabrice Lig, Oscar Mulero, and Samuel.l.Session, to name a few.
In 2005, Bruce was resident DJ for Japanection, and in 2010 became resident DJ for the Konspiracy Parties, with the support of the French Music Bureau Export and he has performed in several European countries over the years: France, Germany, Denmark and Switzerland most notably.
With new releases scheduled regularly,Bruce Mennel is bound to be a very active producer in 2016, leaving much to be discovered about his studio work and mixes.

OPERIOの特徴はファンクフルなリズム、あたたかみのあるタイトでダークなベースライン、ワブル、グルーブ感、そして緻密かつダイナミックなサウンド。
北東フランス出身のブルースは、90年代後半に世界を席巻したユーロ・サウンド、特にイギリスとドイツのアンダーグラウンド・ミュージックの影響を受けた。Axis, Drumcode, Tresor, CLR, Bush, Zenit, Primate等々…ブルースのインスピレーションの源泉となったレーベルや
アーティストは多岐にわたる。
2005年以降、WOMBやAIR等の東京有名クラブでJapanectionイベントの主催者としても
活躍。フランス音楽輸出振興事務局（French bureau export）の支援を得て、Ken Ishii、
The Advent、Fabrice Lig、Oscar Mulero、Samuel.l.Sessionといった世界トップレベルDJと
コラボレーションを重ねる。
2008年からKonspiracy イベントでレジデントDJとしてプレイする一方、長年にわたり
ヨーロッパ各国、主にフランス、ドイツ、デンマーク、スイスにおいてパフォーマンスを
行ってきた。
2016年、ブルース・メネルはプロデューサーとしての活動を積極的に展開していく。すでに数々のニューリリースが予定されており、ブルースのスタジオワークやミックスに新境地を見出すことができるだろう。
