A big month it is now, and a big weekend is coming up on this weekend too.  I guess you could call January a very spiritual month for me.  It’s my birth month and my rebirth month (I handed my life over to more capable hands, the lord Jesus Christ on January 25th some years ago.  I also undertook in a believer’s baptism the same day).  Additionally we American’s celebrate Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday on January 15th, he is one of my life’s biggest inspirations and I’m glad to see his message still being delivered throughout the land and throughout the times today.  So big.

Anyways, what’s this big upcoming weekend deal all about?  Well the party-organizing group that I am a member of “Tokyo Knights” we’re putting on our second party.  Our opening/Christmas party on December 17th was a huge success and so we are back again to do an international New Year’s party on Saturday, January 21, 2012.  It’s a big double-header because not only are we celebrating the New Year, we are also celebrating my birthday so it is an official B-day bash!

The good thing about our party is…  everything.  In just this week I counted no less thanthree parties that are taking place on the same date, same time, and same city within Tokyo (Roppongi) as ours.  I guarantee you though they will fail to be as good as ours.  They already failed to beat ours even before they happened.  The fact that they charge a higher entry price for the same party concept as ours is ridiculous and the fact that they charge Japanese people more than foreigners to attempt to try to bring in more foreigners is tooAt our event everyone no matter your nationality or gender, pays the same (which is cheaper than all the competitions prices) to get in the door.

If you are Japanese and looking to speak with foreigners at a party then don’t worry, we have an abundance of those too.  Half of our organizing team are foreigners along with half of our attendees.  We have four DJs playing quality music and then there’s me.  I’ve been DJing in Japan for six years now.  Because I was too busy to celebrate and have a 5th Anniversary Party last year I thought I would celebrate my 6th Anniversary of DJing in this year (better late than never).

I will be playing last on this Saturday and I definitely will be busting out some hot tunes to commemorate my anniversary and show the world what I can do.  Lastly before I close out this monthly newsletter I want to tell everyone to download my 6th Anniversary Mix “From New York To Tokyo” on this Saturday.  It will be a free download for everyone and I will place the link on my Facebook pages and blog.  Thank you everyone who has supported me over the years and the many of you whom I met that love my music, I am grateful for you.  Love, peace, and soul.
