Don Diablo will come to EDC Japan this year!
He told about his new album "Future" in this
intervie.  This inteview is pretty long, then I tell this in 2 article. This article is first one.

Next article is here!!

INTRO.
Future is the title of my brand new album. I’m really proud of this because it’s been a long time since I dropped an album, I’ve mostly been focusing on singles and remixes and I kind of felt like the format of album had slowly become of less interest to myself and the general audience. It was important for me to do an album, because it has been so many years ago and there is a lot of music that you make that might not be perfect for your DJ sets, or to play at a big rave or a club or even to play on radio, but that doesn’t mean that it is not music you are proud of and that you stand behind and that people might enjoy. So, for me making an album was also a statement for me as a producer I guess and for me as a musician. That kind of showcase myself from a different side and to work on music that excites me on a personal level.

WHY FUTURE.

The album is called Future because I think of a lot of people in the electronic scene sees me as the founding fathers and the key figures in the whole future house scene. And I’m really proud of that and obviously everything I do is based around the future, rather you look at my artwork or the music videos or the clothing line I have, it’s all kind of based around lots of futuristic influences. And for this particular album it’s a little bit wider than that I guess, it’s not just house, it’s future bass, it’s future pop I guess, I don’t even know if that exists, but maybe that’s gonna become a new term. My idea was to kind of make music that has a traditional song structure, but has futuristic future elements in it, new harmonies, new exciting was of sonically kind of trying and experimenting with new things without obviously having it sound to experimental or far-fetched for the fans out there. So that is one side why I called it Future. The other side is that I really wanted to give a message to all my fans and hopefully future fans out there, in many of these songs they are meant to kind of motivate people I guess, when you look at records like ‘Everybody’s Somebody’, ‘People Say’, ‘Head Up’, ‘Bright Skies’, these are all records that lyrically revolve around a motivational theme I would say. Because I get a lot of letters from people that are struggling with themselves I guess and with people and the world around them, and they say that my music helps them through these dark times. And that has kind of been the most motivational thing for me to make this album and to dig a little deeper and kind of send out a real message on a bigger platform.

‘EVERYBODY’S SOMBODY’

The single ‘Everybody’s Somebody’ is really about excepting who you are as a human being. Being proud of what you have achieved on a personal level I guess. Now a day there is so much pressure on people I guess, if you look on social media, there are always someone who is assumingly more successful, better looking, have more money. And A Lot of people expect a lot of things from you. Whether that is at school, at work or in your family or in your social life. There is so much expectation now of days, not just from other people, but also from you, from yourself I guess and that can make it hard. You can sort of run around in circles in your head and god knows I have been there, I am still there to be honest. And I think this song is about not looking at what other people are doing or how you relate to those people but being proud of what you achieve and have achieved on a daily basis. Whether that is that you are a baker and made an amazing croissant that day or if you are a politician and you drew up a law that will help a lot of people or anything that makes you do what you do, that is important to the world and to the people around you, to your family and friends. That’s kind of the message of ‘Everybody’s Somebody’, you know, nobody is nobody and you have to be proud of your daily achievement and not worry about what the things you might never achieve. There is so much in you that deserves to be applauded and that you can be proud of.

‘PEOPLE SAY’
‘People Say’ was sort of the first single of the album and record is really about not getting influenced by external factors and opinions from other people. And really just going for what you believe in and fighting for your dreams no matter what the people say. I think a lot the songs on this album have a very positive, upbeat motivational message. I feel personally that each track on this album could have been a single, but it is very hard to pick what single will be next. I like to just keep it open and see which records react best.

‘Give Me Love’
Another single that will definitely come off the album is a single with an incredible vocalist, his name is Calum Scott. I actually discovered him watching this audition from Britain’s Got Talent that my mom showed me like two years ago. And he absolutely blew my mind to see such incredible talent that was undiscovered up until that day, such a humble person and incredible talent that I was absolutely honoured to work with for this album, because I think a lot of great things will happen to him in the next couple of years. His cover of ‘Dancing On My Own’ blew everyone’s mind and it was the number 1 selling single in the UK in 2016 and he has such a bright future ahead. I’m really, really excited about our single, and I can’t wait to share it with the world.

Before EDC Japan, Let's listen to his new album "Future"!! You'll enjoy his live show more!!
