iFLYER Exclusive Interview with Dimitri Vegas ＆ Like Mike

1. In 2016 you guys visited Japan twice, and this will be your third time in Japan. Anything specific you guys are looking forward to doing in Japan?


Dimi: It was great, we really love Japan and its culture, the fans are super expressive and give us so much love & support. We are pumped to be back and see all of them as it’s been a while!


2. It seems like you guys are interested in Japanese music with past collaborations with EXILE, What are your impressions of Japanese fans and the Japanese music scene?

Dimi: Yes, Japanese music is really diverse and has a lot of unique influences, which makes it is easy to draw a lot of inspiration from. We were intrigued by the J-Pop bands & groups and when they asked us if we could do a collab we were more than down. 

Mike: As Dimi mentioned, the fans are so passionate about music and dance music in particular, so it’s a privilege to come back and play and soak up the atmosphere the Japanese fans always create. 


3. Bringing out Hardwell at "Bringing the Madness" in 2017 as a surprise guest got so many fans excited about a collaboration that has been rumoured for quite some time. Is there anything with Hardwell in the works? 

Mike: Yes, we have a massive record in the works which we’ve been testing for a while now. Maybe we’ll play it in Tokyo
