現地時間11月3日（日）にスペインのセビージャにて欧州最大級の音楽授賞式【MTV Europe Music Awards 2019】が開催され全部門の受賞者が発表された。
Best Electronic（最優秀エレクトロニック賞）には Calvin Harris（カルヴィン・ハリス）、DJ Snake（DJスネーク）、Marshmello（マシュメロ）、The Chainsmokers（ザ・チェインスモーカーズ）、Martin Garrix（マーティン・ギャリックス）がノミネート。The Chainsmokers は Bebe Rexha（ビービー・レクサ）との曲「Call You Mine』で Best Collaboration（最優秀コラボレーション賞）にもノミネートされていた。
今年の傾向としては、Taylor Swift（テイラー・スウィフト）、Billie Eilish（ビリー・アイリッシュ）、Halsey（ホールジー）、BTS など、ポップス勢が多数の賞を受賞するという結果に。
