MOCA (freerange Tokyo)
MOCA started djing in 1999 and has played in various clubs all over Japan ever since. She has also been hired as the music director for major events such as the Tokyo Motor Show, Eco Life Fair presented by the Ministry of the Environment, Amnesty Charity Live, Tokyo Designers Block East, and I.G Festa. In recent years MOCA has gained a high-profile playing huge festivals throughout Tokyo; Nagisa, Hibiki, and at the Big Beach Festival. Her highly acclaimed DJ skills which accompany a deep housey groove have since 2010 led her to become the official DJ of “Freerange Tokyo” represented by a top UK label.
In the studio, MOCA released ‘BIOSPHERE presented by Club M’s’ in 2006 in which she selected tracks, edited, mixed and mastered the album. In the same year she also remixed a track called ‘Try’ on Akiyo Hoshino’s album ‘Roller Girl.’
In her 10 years as a DJ, MOCA has played in diverse environments and has acquired her own unique style along the way. She has the flexibility to play in different scenes and still manages to dazzle the crowd because she always has a story with each set she plays.
