Born in Tokyo. He has been active on multiple fronts—performing as a member (and current support musician) of the popular Japanese Funk-Rock band Theatre Brook from 1994 to 2002, appearing as a DJ at the "FIELD OF HEAVEN" stage at the Fuji Rock Festival. He has released numerous works since his 2000 remix of Akiko Wada’s "Furui Nikki" (Old Diary). In 2015, he supervised and authored *Wamono A to Z: Japanese Groove Disc Guide* (published by Rittor Music); the book achieved exceptional sales figures for a disc guide, going into its third printing. He is active across a wide range of fields—extending well beyond the club scene into media and publishing—where he curates compilations and streaming playlists for various record labels, and works on vinyl reissues and re-edits. He is, in short, one of the leading DJs driving the recent "Wamono" (Japanese Groove Music) boom.
