Attitude, charisma, inovation and technich are some of DJ Tomio..s
features. His passion for electronic music began in the year of 1997,
when he was 13 years old, moved to Japan and started to attend to
brazilian night clubs, such as Brasilian Grafit, Banana Power and
Blackout, and started to get interested in the electronic lines, or
Dance Music, at the time. The will to learn how to play, led him to
spend a whole year..s work on professional mixing and midia
reproduction equipment. From the begginig, Tomio liked to watch the
magic of Turntablism, performance DJs, and DMC championships. The
technich and concept aquired ware crucial for the creativity of his
mixing. Back in Brazil in 1998, Tomio starts to play at private
parties for friends, acasionally. In 2001, after 3 years away from the
turntables, he starts to play in a Rap Metal band, G.A.F, developing
one of his main features: scratches. With the band, he participated on
Demo Sul, the largest festival of independent bands of the south
region of Brazil. They participated on the MTV Journal with the v?deo
clip of the song Tudo Que Voc? N?o Imaginava. They shared the stage
with one of the most important artist of Brazil, Marcelo D2, and some
of the biggest bands of Londrina. In july of 2003, exploring new
horizonts, Tomio starts to research and creat interest for Techno and
its ramifications, getting a brand new start at the electronic scene.
Due to his good taste, sharp technich aquired with Hip Hop and
inspired on DJ Murphy, he quickly earned his space on the scene of
Londrina. Soon came his first residence at one of the biggest parties
of the south region of the country: Anthrax, his main school. In 2005,
he starts to get acquainted with House Music, and takes it as his new
line, along with its ramifications, such as Electro House and Minimal
Tech House. Tomio has played next to great brazilian DJs like: Marky,
Murphy, Fabr?cio Pe?anha, Anderson Noise, Mau Mau, Mara Bruiser,
Kammy, Leozinho, Gabo, Kally, Ingrid, Sandrinho, Denise, G?, Mary
Zander, Aninha, Anali, Lukas, Tim Tim, TRB, Alex S, Elya Simioni, Alec
Ara?jo, JulioTorres and Bam Bam. And also with world renowned DJs such
as Valentino Kanzyani, Marco Carolla, Joseph Rivas, Preach, Oxia, Paco
Osuna, Mina, Chris Humphreys, Marco Paz, Funk D..voids, Spit Fire e
Osi Leith.
