UK's taste makers throw uproarious Halloween party
If you think of a DJ and production duo that have emerged and built up a faithful following since the turn of the decade, the first one to pop up will be nobody but Bicep, formed by two Belfast-born artists Matt McBriar and Andy Ferguson. The two laid a foundation with Feel My Bicep, a blog they started in 2008. Despite its humble initiation as a place where they shared a love of disco, Chicago house, Detroit techno and Italo edit, the blog have grown to a go-to source for hidden gems sought after by enthusiastic diggers, thanks to the duo's careful extensive selections. Now, Feel My Bicep also represents their worldwide party series and label operation, which was launched in 2012, attracting avid followers across the globe ever since. The duo's keen sense of quality music consistently permeates their DJing and productions. Like their swastika-esque logo, comprised of three muscle-flexing left arms, Bicep is symbolised by their house cuts that express sophisticated lyricism. Facing the busiest schedule ever, the duo make the most out of the Halloween season to throw Feel My Bicep here in Tokyo. Creating stirs with their Alabama EP, Monkey Timers join forces with Bicep alongside Kazizi, a Japanese promoter behind many bookings of British artists. Besides, Kza from Force of Nature is featured at the Contact lounge to make a must-see night altogether.
