Legowelt – the man needs no introduction – a true player in the Raw House and Techno scenes, will be headlining KEWL’s one-year anniversary party! Always the purveyor of freaky and tripped out Techno and Acid House sounds, hailed as a truly masterful live performer and DJ, the highly talented Legowelt will be dropping some science at KEWL’s first year anniversary party, at VENT, on December 22nd! Legowelt is truly a unique soul in the music scene. The music he releases is sometimes realistic, sometimes imaginary, conjuring up all sorts of visions in the listener’s mind. Greatly influenced by not only the Detroit and Chicago pioneers, but Sci-Fi subculture and fantasy movies as well, he has absolutely brought to the frontline the appeal of analog instruments through his numerous releases on top-end labels like Clone, L.I.E.S., and Peoples Potential Unlimited. His works are of exceptional quality, like none other! Experiencing one of his live sets chock full of vintage analog synths and machines, your head will be filled with all sorts of images while he produces a nonstop soundtrack that will keep your body moving. He's also an exceptional DJ! During his Boiler Room Poland gig, he absolutely tore it up with a hybrid equipment DJ set - the crowd was loving every minute of it. Over the past year, KEWL has successfully hosted some top quality artists like Vakula, Tom Trago, Soichi Terada, and Shinichiro Yokota, inspiring a movement her ein Tokyo. Simply one of the best! Discovered by Luciano and Ricardo Villalobos, and part of the first generation of residents at Panorama Bar, Cassy comes to VENT on December 31st! Cassy has held residencies at renowned clubs like Panorama Bar, Rex Club, Cocoon, and Circo Loco, and has gained the respect of notable artists such as Luciano, Mathew Jonson, Tobias, Steve Bug, and Zip. A female artist on the cutting-edge at the summit of the underground Techno/House scene, Cassy will be gracing the decks at VENT's New Year's Eve countdown party on December 31st! Cassy is a unique an independent individual, and her feminine powers provide that delicate touch to the warm, soulful, elegant, and sometimes mysterious electronic music she produces. As a child, influenced by her father's work, she was exposed to Sun Ra, Archie Shepp, and other Jazz legends, which amplified her love of music and paved the way for her career in the field. Her style is the culmination of traversing throughout Europe and coming into direct contact with a plethora of unique music scenes. When Berlin's Panorama Bar opened back in 2004, Luciano selected her to be the opening DJ for the Cadenza Night party. She quickly got in the good books with the club and soon secured a residency there. She's produced works for acclaimed labels like Perlon, Ostgut Ton, Uzuri, Beatstreet, and Playhouse, and has also released on her own, aptly named, Cassy label. Excelling as both a DJ and producer, and as a top act in the scene Cassy is truly a master of weaving a sonic journey that will take you into another world. Bear witness to the unstoppable momentum of two rising stars: wunderkind and proprietor of the very hot Disco Halal, Moscoman, and young and rising star Trikk, who has received much praise from the number one ranked DJ, four-years-in-a-row, Dixon! These two will join forces for an epic throw down on January 12th, at Omotesando VENT! Led by Que Sakamoto, who keeps up to date on the recent goings on overseas, Huit Etoiles is the leading party in the Japanese Nu Disco scene, and on January 12th, Moscoman (who, along with Red Axes and Acid Arab, has helped establish the Modern Ethnic movement) and Trikk (who has been garnering attention thanks to his releases on Innervision, which is the same well-respected label well that is known for releasing tracks by Dixon and Âme) will be double-heading this extra special showcase: Disco Halal meets Huite Etoiles! Hailing from Israel, proprietor of the Disco Halal print, in recent years Moscoman has been greatly inspired by alternative club culture, which in turn has led to him cultivating a unique sound that has brought happiness to audience the world over. In the early days, he spun at popular bars in his native Tel Aviv, and even after his success, he continues to blend the sounds of his hometown to wider audiences, incorporating a wide range of electronic genres, such as New Wave, House, Techno, Trance, and his own original tracks to fill in the gaps, continuous evolving as an artist. Hailing from Oporto, which has been garnering a lot of attention lately as not only one of the leading cities in the underground, but also as a inspiration for sub-genre music, Trikk is an rising star that everyone interested in electronic music should be keeping an eye on. He's release on ManMakeMusic and Lossless, and has produced remixes for Hot Flush and Pets Recordings, and his greatest achievement to date is releasing works on Innervisions, certifying him as a purveyor of banging tracks.
