Loopy Room

Margaret Dygas PERLON / Berlin Margaret Dygas’ life has been a series of twists and turns. Born in Poland, in the 80’s she ended up in the West Coast of the US, by way of Germany, where she immersed herself in Old School Hip Hop. She then moved to New York to study fashion where she had a chance meeting with House and Techno. Dazzled by the club scene, she transplanted herself to London where she worked as a makeup artist while kicking off her journey into the music world. As her unique sound began to reach a wider audience and gain more respect, she began taking up residencies in some of London’s top clubs like Fabric, The End/AKA, and The Key. In 2006, she relocated to Berlin where she eventually reached the pinnacle of the club world by locking in a residency at Berghain/Panorama Bar. Margaret’s productions integrate the deep and dub-influenced sounds that she’s so very fond of with elements of driving fuck, which is a head nod to her musical past. Furthermore, all the unique music and sounds that she’s been able to take in as a result of playing all over the globe have led to a her release many marvelous works of music released on a lineup of some of the best labels out there, such as Contexterrior, PowerShovelAudio, Perlon, Non Standard Productions, to name a few.
