Japanese label Torque returns with its fourth hammering big room techno release! Beijing based artist Elvis T. aka Technetium returns to Torque with a dark, spacious and futuristic techno tune called “Holzig” with top-notch remix contributions from the likes of Jonas Kopp, Ben Sims, Q’Hey and JAK. On the Original Mix, Technetium (Mothership/Acupuncture) combines chunky drums, dark bass and futuristic sounds, with powerful results. Next is the remix by Argentina’s Jonas Kopp (Curle/Stroboscopic Artefacts) who provides a bumpy ride through analog grooves, lo-fi drums and clever swing. The legendary Englishman Ben Sims (Theory/Drumcode) goes straight for the big room funk with his remix, chock-full of jackin’ groove and mechanical overtones. In a remix by Q’Hey (MB Elektronics), the Tokyo legendary dj/producer holds true to key elements of the original, but adds his signature deep bass, big drive and tantalizing buildups. Exclusive to the digital release is a rework by West Coast U.S. artist and Torque resident JAK (SubSensory Recordings/Torque), who delivers an absolute stomper of a remix. Big room elements are in full effect as JAK rounds out the pack with his unstoppable groove.
