Once upon a time Blip Pilot was simply Mike Yeomans, an almost non existent individual drifting through life with no real ambitions or identity. Then one day in 1981 a friend introduced him to the joys of electronic music through a jam session and a creative soul was born.
Blip Pilot decided he could bring his talent and experience to create something altogether more sophisticated than the average dance music outfit.
Armed with an array of samplers and synthesizers, the Pilot creates a unique sound through textures, grooves and melody with the emphasis firmly on beat based compositions. Blip Pilot originates from the Essex chill-out scene in the UK, where the project steadily built up a reputation for its original approach to creating tracks and moods. Since then the 'Pilot' moved to Tokyo in October 2001 and is currently reestablishing the project in the far-east, producing a promotional video, a soundtrack for a Nokia online project and performing live at nightclubs and music festivals.
