Classic Wabaso started his musical career at the tender age of 14, playing at local youth clubs and house parties, quickly developing a natural flare for DJing. Coming from a reggea & Ragga background it wasn’t surprising that he naturally progressed into the Jungle scene.
In 1995, after establishing himself as a creditable DJ within his community, he become a known name in the house and garage scene. With the explosion of UK Garage, DJ Classic continued to promote himself by playing on the London pirate radio circuit guesting on Diesel U Music, Taste FM and Flex FM to name but a few; headlining at clubs such as Ministry of Sound, Club Space & Club Coliseum.
In 1999, Classic turned his attention to production, experimenting with music sequences, formulating his unique sound and producing his own dub-plates. His production was firmly acknowledged in the scene by industry professionals. Many of his tracks were featured on Radio 1 & a UK Garage Documentary, leading to a collaboration and tour with ‘Aaron Soul’ Def Jam UK.
