Saudi Dance originates in Upper Egypt and is the chosen style of one of our party dancers. Nour’s love affair with Arabic dance and music began over 15 years ago, and has taken her many times to Egypt and Jordan, where she has spent time with both classical and folk artists. Whilst living in the desert of Wadi Rum, Jordan, she spent evenings with the Bedouin, immersing herself in the art from its source.
Louise has been lucky enough to perform on stage with artists like Natacha Atlas, Transglobal Underground, Talvin Singh and even in front of the late King Hussein of Jordan. She performs a combination of traditional and modern interpretations. Avoiding the term ‘belly dance’ for her style; she is passionate about showing her audience the dance at its purest, delivered from the soul.
