アメリカ出身/大阪在住。大阪の唯一House専門店'Union'で開催されるイベント「Satellite」のレジデント兼オーガナイザー。
mightwhalesは、アメリカの大学時代から日本のウングラ電子音楽を紹介するラジオ番組を担当し、2007年に日本に渡り、2010年より関西各地で定期的にDJ活動を開始。Jazz、funk、 IDM、hip-hopから大きく影響を受けた彼のスタイルは、 house、techno、disco、boogieなどの要素をブレンドし、独創的なセンスで選曲している。
ここ最近関西のあらゆるシーンで活動し、Gilles Peterson、Shigeto、Dego、Lefto、Flako、Photay、Anchorsong、Ametsub、Aroop Roy、Kan Sano、Aoki Takamasa、Yoshihiro Okino など国内外の代表的なアーティストと共演している。

Resident DJ/organizer of the long running Osaka-based event, Satellite, and previous co-organizer of event/label, Perfect Touch. mightwhales has been making the rounds in Western Japan since 2010.

With a wide-rage of influences including jazz, funk, IDM, and the LA beat scene, his style tends to range from contemplative, melodic, heady atmospheres to sweaty, energetic exercises in pure disco/funk appreciation.

Over the past few years he's shared the stage with renowned acts Gilles Peterson, Shigeto, Flako, Photay, Starro, Free the Robots, Pinch, Kan Sano, Aoki Takamasa, Ametsub, Anchorsong, Yoshihiro Okino, and Seiho, to name a few.
